Personality: Seiya likes all kinds of sports, from softball to football, is very sure of himself, and is a big flirt. He also has a major crush on Usagi, but it's kind of like a Romeo and Juliet thing. Yaten and Taiki don't want him to see Usagi at all, and the Outers don't want Usagi to have anything to so with the Starlights. I think that Seiya would be much better for Usagi though, but that's my opinion. Wait, strike that. Mamoru can be with Usagi so I get Seiya to myself! MUHAHA! Er, uh... Seiya is a member of the popular singing group, the Three Lights, and he sure can sing! He's not bad on the drums either, and ties Yaten as my fav. Starlight. |

Anime Story: The Starlights were three sailors that lived peacefully on their planet, Kinmoku until Galaxia attacked. She destroyed their planet, and almost killed their princess, Princess Kakyuu, but she disappeared and went into hiding on earth. Now the only thing the Starlights have left to live for is to find their princess, so they go to earth and diguise themselves as men because they think that maybe it would give them a better chance of finding their Princess. I'm not really sure why they thought this, but probably because three guys singing a song about wanting to find a girl sounds better than three girls singing a song about wanting to find a girl. So they decide that the best way to find their Princess on such a big planet is to become famous, so that's why they became rock stars. Eventually, they did find their princess, she was hiding in an urn I think. After the battle with Galaxia, they all went home to their planet. (Well, I think they went to their planet, but didn't Galaxia destroy their planet?)
Manga Story:
In the Manga, the basic storyline is pretty much the same EXCEPT! The Starlights NEVER, I repeat, NEVER TURN INTO BOYS!! I did not know that for a very long time. In the manga, the starlights merely dressed as boys. The fooled everything into thinking they were boys, but they were not boys!!! And yes, Seiya was still desperately in love with Usagi in the manga. And yes, she was a girl in the manga. And for a thrid time, yes, this makes her a lesbian. Oh well. *wining* Why does she have to be a girl?! He's so cute! And *sob, sob* she dies in the manga!! *bursts into tears* I don't like the manga version! WWWWWWWAAAAAAA!!!!!!! |

On the morning of February 7, 2000, Seiya's wonderful voice actress, Niiyama Shiho-sama, died from lukemia at the age of 29. She managed a weak smile in her final moments, then passed away. We'll miss you Niiyama-sama... |
