A chrysalis,
transformed
into the beautiful woman
who spreads her wings today.
You are excellence,
tempered with good ethics.
Motivation, moderated
with compassion.
Wisdom, gentled
with humor.
I reach out
and touch your hand.
Yours is not the unsure hand
of your childhood,
but a hand with all the maturity,
and warmth,
of the amazing woman
you have become.
My love and admiration
for you
is far beyond anything
you will ever know.
You have become more
than I dared to dream.
You are
All that love can be.

daughter.
