Night Come and wrap your dusky arms around me. Pull the coverlet of darkness slowly around this world. Allow the serenity that escapes me in the light of day to live. Let me rest my head on your pillow of peacefulness. Lay quiet the day still rampant in my mind. Embrace me with your presence, and quietly hold me until morning's first light forces you into the darkest shadows of daylight. You will be with me in the shadows, reclusively living out the hours until once again you gather your tranquil forces and gently assault my world with peaceful reveries of solitude. You are comforting, darkness.... safely offering me the visions not seen in the brightness of day. Copyright 1998-2001 Original Graphics by Janet Nix Back To Poetry Page Back To Main Page
