Dislikes: Being threatened, pre-judged, or intimidated. He also hates liars (though he has been known to tell a lie or two, which makes him a little of a hypocrite, but he sticks mainly to white lies.) Has Trouble With: Fire, and expressing himself to others. Special strength: Ice and water, necromancery Guardian: Aus (a painted mustange) Status (Good/Evil/Netural): Neutral History: Owen was born and raised in the outskirts of the city of Euphini, located in the midst of the mountain range in a circlet of forest. His mother left the guild when he was a year old, and he never saw or heard from her again, his best bet is that she either joined another guild and left him far in the past, or she died. His father and he were never very close. He was raised mainly by the town as a whole, taught manners and tricks of the trade, and magic through one individual or another who offered such sage advice to a child who had no real home life. When Owen turned 10, his father was in his late 30's and had invited a girl only twice Owen's age (20 years old) to move in with them. Owen's father get her pregnant and had another child, completely neglecting Owen's existance. Owen learned to start taking what he learned from the villagers and fellow Guild-members and mages, and raised himself. He learned manners from the ladies, magic from fellow mages, combat from the men, and wit and creative thinking from the elders. When he turned 16, his father threw his young mistress and his half-sister out of his home and out of his life. Owen thought little of it, and cared just as little about it. He only became angry at the age of 18, when his father, now close to 50-years-old, brought a girl Owen's age (18) to live with them. The sadest part was, it was a girl Owen had admired quite profusely growing up, her name was Lilianna, and she had become his girlfriend about 6 months prior (also from a broken home). They shared everything, and they were saving themselves for each other, intending to marry some day maybe (those childish ideas) and then they could share a bed... and it broke his heart that she was apparently being oddly intimate with his father!!! It appaulled him, and he picked a malicious fight with his father one night when he came home from magic training to find his dad making love to Lilianna. It infuriated him! He even struck his father a nasty blow and broke his nose, but got pummeled even worse by his dad. Instead of reporting his father's horrid behavior to the elders, and risking Lilianna from being thrown out of the security of the guild, he chose to abandon his home, unable to live with his father after that. He swore never to use women like that, and he swore never to have petty crushes again. He couldn't believe the first girl he ever truly fancied was screwing his 50-year-old father! It was unheard of. It was a heartbreak that would be long and hard to mend. So Owen left Euphini and went from guild to guild, town to town, meeting fellow mages, some of the most extremem experience levels and wisdom, some even lower on the rungs of magic than himself. He studied with clerics and necromancers, and filled these heartaches and voids and resentments with knowledge, learning, and constant travel and training. Everything had to be new, he had to be taking in some great adventure or story or thrill... it was in those quiet, lagging moments of calm or boredom that every hurt and scar in his soul came back to haunt him. He had no closure, nor did he ever think he would. He had been abandoned by his mother, neglected by his father, spurned by his beloved... it was a horrid life he felt he led, of only in his heart. So now he is in search of some sort of solace, some purpose, some escape... and he carries his anger and burdens on his back every step of the way. Powers: Elemental magic(with the exception of fire) and telekinesis Weakness: He's actually not the best mage you can find, still an apprentice, however, he is a quick learner and is reasonably apt with his magic. Personality: Owen is quiet and reserved for the most part, keeping a mystery to him, which bothers some people who want to solve the riddle of him like some puzzle box (and deep down he enjoys giving them the chase, as well as the benefit of the doubt.) He is more shy around women than he probably should be, and is the most perfect gentleman one could probably find. However, Owen also has a flip side, where he can be very tempermental at times, and sometimes comes off as a jerk. He becomes a very cold person in battle to those that are not on his side, and he isn't big on offering second chances. He has a good sense of humor, but refrains from smiling a lot, but when he does it is a very charming, entrancing sight. His feelings get hurt when he is teased about his mage abilities, being only a struggling youth, just out of his apprenticeship, but he refuses to ever show emotion openly of his own accord towards such instances. Physical Description: Owen has short Chestnut brown hair, with bangs that sweep across his forehead. He has gorgeous, entrancing crystal blue eyes that are as clear and magical as the stones themselves. He has a slightly tanned complexion and a smooth, very attractive, clean-shaven face, and a charming smile. His eyes are usually inquisitive yet shadowed with secrets of his own. He is lean with a medium build, but very strong and agile. Special Devices/Weapons: A long diamond-like sword with a platinum tang running up the center and a silver grip with a sapphire on the end of the handle. He also has a dagger with a ruby and gold grip. |
