Has Trouble With: Water, especially deep/rough water because she doesnt know how to swim and nearly drowned once. She can be manipulated and taken advantage of very easily. Special strength: Naiya is a cutie with a very independent, take-no-crap kind of attitude, and she uses that, along with keen wit and quick thinking, to get herself out of some pretty sticky spots. She is also the youngest, renowned swordsmaster out of all the Ranger Guilds. Status (Good/Evil/Netural): Neutral Guardian: Gin (Silver Metallic) History: Nai was born in Ethion, along the Tiratium River. Her mother was Druid, and her father was a well-liked and notoriously-skilled Alchemist and Ranger in the Guild. Her mother died when she was only 10 years old, old enough to learn a bundle of lessons on being a lady; however, her father soon took over raising her. He was working on a potion that could extend life and magic, possess a human of the same intense magic that the Mystians were connected to the world by... It would cure the disease inside of him that was killing him slowly year by year. He knew of his ailments, and could never accomplish the potion, but never gave up either. He knew Naiya would need to learn to fend for herself and defend herself, so when she turned 13 he began training her as a Ranger, normally a profession of males, and also began her intense studies in Alchemy. He did his emperiments with her and taught her well of the ways. He taught her tracking and swordsmanship with the best from many guilds all over; from gypsies and thieves, to marauders, murderers, outcasts, hunters and even the more knightly guilds. Despite all the training and studies, Naiya remained a demure-like beauty, seemingly unscathed by her father's teachings. She looked as if her mother had raised her to thrive in beauty and womanhood all her life... Her appearances were quite often deceiving, often leading men to think she was some weak, frail little flower, and they'd eventually learn otherwise. When Naiya was 18, she left to go off on her own for a while and pursue her career as a Ranger, tracking down and bounty-hunting. She always got her man/woman/Mystian, and filled her purse with the meager earnings. Her hunts were not just for monetary gain, though, sheused her travels to try and discover new materials and magical jewels with which she may be able to bring home to help her father in his desperate search for a panacea (cure-all). She returned home to her river village today, at 20, only to find her father on his deathbed, fading fast from this world. After some sage words of wisdom, encouragement, faith and undying love to his daughter, her father died relatively peacefully. Naiya gathered up his books and notebooks, his incantations and his findings, as well as some ingredients, potions and the like... she would continue his work and would continue her's as well... They had a funeral pyre over the river, and watched his body and the wood all burn away to nothing, the last few firey logs falling into the river and fizzling out, washing away. A flower ceremony was held, placing blossoms on the water and letting the current take them after his soul. Now she prepares to leave Ethion and try to cope with her very recent loss... Powers: Mainly alchemy, prophetic abilities (including telepathy), and some minor elemental powers. Weakness: Water, especially deep/rough water because she doesnt know how to swim. Personality: Despite her name meaning water nymph, Naiya and water dont really get along. She has a severe phobia of going in the water and will get very firey and tempermental if someone tries to force her to get into it, or tries to make her do anything else she doesn't desire doing. Naiya has a stunning personality, a charming wit and an allusiveness that makes her almost addictive. She keeps a degree of mystique about her, and yet is a very open and honest person. Shes capable of offering honest, steady and unbiased advice. Shes down-to earth and reserved, but may appear aloof to others. She has a quiet nature, but lurking within are tremendous amounts of ambition that nobody suspects is there. Shes enthusiastic, motivated, charming. She is courageous and is ready to fight for what she believes is right regardless that the consequences to her could be disastrous. She doesnt make a show of her courage and inner strength but somehow people who get to know her admire these traits. She usually gets her own way, but can be a poor loser should things go against her. Regardless, she is a loyal and true friend to have once her trust is earned. Physical Description: Naiya is an average height and has a slender frame. She has a beautiful shape to her, with attractive curves in all the right places. She has knee length, auburn hair with golden accents, wavy and with a slight curl to it at the ends. Its usually loosely braided. She has soft full bangs that sweep over her forehead just above her eyes to frame her innocent, youthful features. She has soft, creamy, snowy skin. Her eyes are deep and always alight with their sparks of gold and bright green set in the light tiger-eye brown. Her eyelashes are a soft bronze color and her full lips are tinted with a soft pale, pink tone. She is delicate in appearance, and is very fair. She is very athletic and stronger than she looks, as well as one of the greatest sword masters out of any of the Ranger Guilds. On her back are a few thin, sweeping lash marks, the scars are not raised, and so appear as merely lines curving up her back.
