History:
Aspen was brought into the Knights at the age of 11. He slowly worked his way up the ladder until he was ready to become a full-fledged Dragon Knight. Like most of the other knights, he has no family of which to speak of and knows nothing of his past. He was discovered by Traitorin one winter, nearly frozen to death, barely alive. He was bleeding badly from his head, turning most of his silver hair red. Traitorin took him into his care and had his healers nurse the young dragon back to health, but it became immediately clear that whatever ordeal Aspen had gone through, he�d suffered irreversible memory loss. He couldn�t remember anything more than his first name. It was Traitorin who finally gave him his last name after Aspen admitted to feeling incomplete without one.
He became very popular by the castle community, especially with the ladies, despite the fact he is generally a silent and distant individual. Not even companionship in the evening hours filled the voids inside of him. He felt like pieces were still missing, and so tried to fill them in with frivolous relationships and focusing on increasing his status among the Knights. In the 10 years he�s been living in the castle, he�s only become close to a handful of people: Semper, Movado, Serg and, recently, a 106th High Guard member, Rev.
Powers: Most magic, but with a special connection to Ice. Also able to manipulate metals and possesses telepathic abilities.
Weakness: If gotten to open up, he�ll wear his heart on his sleeve, which makes it easy for him to get hurt. He�s also not good with fire.
Personality:
Aspen is a genuinely caring dragon, but his standoffishness sometimes makes it difficult to get close enough to him to realize it. He�s never had much luck since he could remember, and almost every relationship and friendship he�d ever had lacked depth and meaning for him. There are only a small handful that he actually lets down his barriers for, but none of them have ever seen him completely vulnerable. Sometimes when he becomes too open or feels like he�s getting too close to letting himself be vulnerable to someone else, he�ll suddenly close himself off and take on the persona of a complete jerk in order to drive people away. Sometimes he�ll become reclusive and avoidant of even the people he�s come to care about, because he�s afraid of them getting too close. The only things he�s dedicated to and will stay on task with are his duties as a Dragon Knight.
If someone can get his to let down his barriers for them, they�d be able to see the passionate, funny, caring dragon underneath. He has a silver tongue when it comes to being romantic and can sweet talk or charm his way through anything, but it's very rare that side of him gets tapped into, because for him to open up that much takes a lot of time and trust. He comes off shallow with all his frivolous one-night stands, but it�s really all part of his inability to get close enough to have anything beyond that, but his desire to be close to others is there � he just can�t act on it.
Physical Description:
Aspen is average height for a dragon at 6�. He�s an athletic build, lean, but toned. He�s your basic �pretty boy� with his light complexion, platinum hair and blue eyes. His hair is short with longer bangs that usually fall in front of his eyes. Not many would assume it to look at him, but he has a tattoo on his back that spans from one shoulder blade to the other. It�s an ancient dragonic symbol that was tattooed onto him when he was a child, some time before he lost his memory. Traitorin believes it was an induction into adulthood in his dragon clutch, which most dragons in such clans go through between their 10th and 12th years.
His attire is normally dress-casual. Slacks, sweaters and nice shirts are normally what he wears, but on a very rare occasion he�ll be spotted in jeans, a t-shirt and a hoodie. He seems to be able to wear anything and look good doing it. He's is very debonair and nonchalant; however when he is put into battle he shows how he doesn�t mind a tumble in the mud or covring his pretty-boy fascade with bruises.
