| Chris was the keeper of the scroll or protecter till he had to turn it over to Catty. Catty was given the scroll by some mystery guy at the Corners office when she went to see if they had found her mothers body. It was someone elses mother because hers was alive. The mystery guy kept following her and urging her to act. One day after Catty returned from seeing her real mother he had visited her. He said it was dangerous for her to see who the mystery man was so she didn't know what he looked it. She had taken a mirror from her mothers room because she wanted something that belonged to her. She had tucked it into her pocket and it was there when the mystery man vivsited. She slowly slipped it out and held it up to reveal the strangers face. In a complete surprise it was Chris. Chris met and fell in love with Catty while trying to find out who was the owner of the scroll and give it to them. It could have been either of the daughters. He found out it was Catty and was crushed because he knew they couldn't be together. The secret scroll reveals how to destroy the Atrox. There is a Path of the Manuscript or heir which as you know is Catty and only by Catty can the scroll be destroyed. It puts a curse on anyone who touches it and they become overly sick. The scroll could have only be given to someone with a pure heart and the strength to fight the Atrox. Which Catty had and plus she was the fallen goddess. The prophecysaid that-The child of a fallen goddess and an evil spirit will take possesion of the secret scroll without fear of its curse. Thats why she is the destined heir because she is the chilrd of a fallen goddess and an evil spirit. Zoe is Catty's real mother and once a daughter of the moon. She could move things with her mind. Zoe was afraid of the transition at 17 and so she to the Atrox. She thought the Atrox would offer her immortality, but it tricked her. She failed to ask for perpetual younth and now she is doomed to age for eternity. She became a follower after she fell in love a member of the Inner Circle. Zoe had Stanton zap all Catty's memories so she wouldn't remember anything. Thats why she only had a few flashes of memories. Plus this way the Regulators couldn't find her and destroy her. Zoe would sit in Catty's room at night and talk to her in her sleep. Selene goddess of the moon came to Zoe in her dreams and offered her a second chance. Zoe refused it untill she got to speak to her daughter. She talked to her daughter after Catty traveled back to see her. Zoe told her about Selene's offer and said she was going to take it. She had Catty sat with her till she was gone. Selene came and Zoe became something else and all that was left was her body.
