| Cassandra was a Follower who ran with Stanton. She was once madly in love with Stanton and has STA scared on her chest when she tried to write his name on her flesh with a knife. In Night Shade she has been favored by the most powerful Atrox Followers called the Cincti which means Encircled. Cincti is what Followers call members of the Inner Circle the closet to the Artox. Cassandra is mortal and the Inner Circle usually doesn't let mortals visit the Inner Circle. She was allowed to visit the Inner Circle because she has come up with a fail-safe plan to destory the daughters. The Cincti has allowed Cassandra to go back into the past to change one event so she can put her plan in motion. She allowed Karyl to go back a lure Veto into enemy land making him think she was in danger and he got killed. Veto was Jimena's one true love back when she was in a gang and had no clue about her Destiny. He had died and somehow in Night Shade he has come back. He clamed he had found a way to trick evil. He had escaped from the Tartarus. Tartarus is a dark abyss far below the surface of the earth. It's surrounded by a think layer of night. It's a place of damnation where it's residents suffer endless torments. Some say thats where the Atrox resides and thats where the Inner Circle meets. When the Tartarus opens then it is allowing someone of high importance to visit or escape. The daughters have been hearing loud thunder noises thinking it is eathquakes but it really was land thunder or the opening of the Tartarus. The same time the thunder started to happen thats when the sudden appearance of Veto happened. Really Veto is a Shade. The ancient Greeks believed that after death, the spirit keeps the same appearance it had during life so that when relatives and friends who died after will be able to recognize it. A shade is not a ghost but an airy ghostlike image of the person. Jimena had kissed him meaning he wasn't a ghost and he felt real. So Veto was animated by the Atrox to be used for an evil purpose, meaning he can feel real as any human. The night he snuck out of earth he had said he'd seen a angel which helped him, but the angel was really a follower. Morgan dressed up in clothes put on make up and glitter to create the illusion that she was an angel. Then with the help of Cassandra using her mind control to tell Veto it was angel he had really beileved he ws seeing an angel. Morgan what Veto thought was an angel told him to get Jimen's Moon amulet and it would help him. He had believed her, and the thing was it was a lie. One night Jimena was on her way home to get some sleep when Veto stopped her and wanted to talk. They were in the park talking and he was trying to explain that he had tricked that Atrox. He had gotten out and found a way to be with Jimena again. Only thats what he thinks, Jimena knows better. He was telling her that if her wore Jimena's moon amulet that he could live without the animation of the Atrox. He said if he wore it it would break the Atrox's spell and he wouldbe able to stay alive. She took it off and let him wore it. When she did that Cassandra was by listening and took control of Jimena's mind. It was to late for Jimena to react Cassandra was already deep in her mind stripping her powers away. In the end Cassandra had won and Jimena was stripped of her powers but even without them she is still a Daughter Of The Moon. Jimena blacked out and when she woke Veto was standing over her trying to see if she was alright. There she confessed what she had become after he died. When she fully awoke Cassandra, Morgan and Karyl were there. Veto was so angry he swung at Karyl and when he did so the Tartarus opened and Veto almost fell in but he balanced himself out. Thats when Cassandra pushed him in. Then Cassandra had a premonition because she had stolen Jimena's power. She said she had seen that they defeat the daughters in the biggest way and that Jimena is going to bring the daughters to the edge of Tartarus and then she'll be part of the Inner Circle. Thats was not the out come if you read the book. Jimena and the other goddess came up with a plan to get her powers back and defeat Cassandra. In the end the Daughters won and Cassandra ws no longer a Follower and among others she was an outcast. |
