My first guess was to make a big hole in the hood and get a new one, but after asking to ramva, the solution was easy: cut the handle and unscrew it from outside, then the lock separates from the hood, and alehop! open!

| The hood doesn't open! | ||||||||||||||||
| The wire that opens the hood lock from the dashboard was realeased during a dashboard removal, it was not needed since it never worked, but one day, for once, it decided to work, making impossible to open the hood. | Done! the upper part unscrews easily, but the lower part requires extra cutting because the black button belongs to the lock and the screw is above it. Not a big deal though. | ||||||||||||||||

| Alehop! new shiny hood handle. I bought a 2nd hand one, but it was shinier than my original one, good deal! Maybe you can see that there is a gap between the hood and the handle, I should fix this as soon as possible, since that's a perfect place to get water in and start some lovely rust in the hood and wheel space. |
