Chapter III
Kunom decided to try to figure out if there was a way above ground. All of a sudden, he heard a rumble, and the sound of an animal abve ground. "That's it!" he shouted, devising a plan. "I will use the hole of a Land Worm like a tunnel!" No sooner than he said that, a land worm poked his head out of the soil, and tried to suck in Kunom. However, he jumped behind a rock and dodged the wind. After a couple of minutes, the Land Worm gave up and went away. Kunom knew this was his only chance. He quietly ran behind the Land Worm and followed it until it went to the surface. "There." He exclaimed. "Now to look at the diary." He slowly opened the diary. it said
In the days of the Magi, a power arose,
The Espers took sides, making freinds and foes,
But one clever Esper, Altros in name,
Went out seeking more prideful fame,
But was turn to stone, when the beast he seeked,
Let out a mighty shriek,
And the sound changed the world, and the world was new,
The soild ground changed to,
And the beast gained the power of Altros at hand,
But if the beast is defeated, he will rest at your hand.
"Wow! Then that must be why there are many islands, and the castle was underground!" He said. "Now, to find the beast, let's see what I have to do..."
He said, looking in the diary. It said-
Mobiliz in the item shop,
Behind the farms which show the many crops,
Lies the map which directs your way,
If you are to see another day.
"Well now,", said Kunom, "We are going to Mobliz!"
Chapter IV
Once back at South Figaro, Kunom tried
to rent a boat to Mobiliz. It would have been an easy job, but there appeared to be a storm brewing. "Traveling out in these waters? You must be crazy! The water would swallow you right up!" Was the response of one rather unpleasent sailor. However, he was told after the storm, he would be taken there for 50 GP. Kunom decided to wait out the storm, and battle for more money. He went out and attacked an Adamancht, a beast resembling a red-scaled lion which would attack and plunder ships near the coast, hogging the gold. The monster was thoroughly suprised at being attacked. With a loud "Kupo!" Kunom charged at the beast with his dirk, but he dodged it. The Adamancht summoned a tidal wave, which greatly hurt Kunom, but he chanted "Cure 3", and healed himself. He then did a spin and a jump and did the Earth Blues dance, and shouted "Atma!". A ring of fire surrounded the monster, and closed in on it. Roaring loudly, the monster ran away. "Good." Thought Kunom "Now he will lead me to his treasure trove." The Adamancht wentto a small cave on the coast, and surrendered his treasure. "Wow! 550 GP's worth! This will easily take care of business." While walking out of the cave, though, a huge shadow loomed overhead!
