| This week we will... OK, Moodle's job is to let you guys explore new things on your computer. Each week a new topic will appear here for you to go away and do a bit a thought about. Who knows? You might find that it tells you the answer to something that you've always wanted to know! Or maybe it will just bore you. Once the topic has changed, the information on that topic will be available on another page. This week we'll explore..... MOZILLA FIREFOX Mozilla Firefox is an Internet browser, like Internet Explorer. There are few different versions and each of them offers many different and useful things. Firefox offers tabbed browsing, whch means that rather than looking up several things in different windows, like with Internet Explorer, Firefox condenses up to 30 windows into one window that you can flick through as you need to! Mozilla is much stricter with what it opens than the older versions of IE, it won't play sounds and won't show some images and asks you if you would like to open certain files first to check whether they are viruses or worms. We think that Mozilla is cool, it's good if you are looking stuff up on Google and Ask seeing as the tabbed browsing makes life a hell of a lot easier, but we still love IE! |
