The Webmaster Talks

During the concept and course of designing this site many have asked me to include particular titles to review.  Those titles, whilst great, can not be included within this site
at this time.

What I have done is to begin with some Tried & Tested favourites from the Shaw Studios and will incl. other titles as, and when,
I have time.

Aside from the many martial movies produced by the Shaw Bros. there are horrors, comedies, dramas and western inspired titles not known
( or even cared about, by most of the Shaw fans ) which have gone unsung.

Unknown to many are the titles which include a few of the Shaw Stars but were not produced by Shaws.

We will include these as '
independants' and there are many indie films which have great plotlines and equally explosive and intricate choreographies to match anything from the Shaw Bros. studios.

A glorious and wacky display of comedy, colour and martial rivalry in the tradition of a grand opera.

Very Chinese and definately NOT recommended for hard-core fight fans.  A MUST HAVE MOVIES.

MARTIAL CLUB
DIRTY  HO
Rivalry and betrayal in one of the BEST displays of true art and martial brilliance.  Wang Lung Wei is masterful as the Northern Fighter sent to oppose 'Sante' (aka Gordon Lau) who plays Wong Fei Hong in this North Shaolin V South Shaolin battle of the martial clubs.   ABSOLUTE BRILLIANCE !!!
Sibling rivalry between the 4th and the 11th Princes' and their ascension to the Throne.

Enter the Dirty Ho of the title, General Ho who proceeds to manipulate each and every situation to achieve his aim of removing the 11th Prince.
SHAOLIN MANTIS
MAD MONKEY KUNG FU

A Brother and Sister run into trouble when a lusty villian, who is rejected by the sister, frames the Brother for her death.

AMAZING DISPLAY of Monkey Kung-Fu and has great comical moments too.
RECOMMENDED VIEWING
MY YOUNG AUNTIE
LADY IS THE BOSS
Essentially a comedy about property rights and land ownership this has some of the best choreographed scenes in any Shaws movie.  This is the movie, more than any, that put Hui Ying Hung on the martial map for many UK audiences.  MUST HAVE TITLE.
