First thing to know, and accquaint yourself with, is..., the fickle nature of Hong Kongs' film audience.  No sooner does the latest movie  hits  the screens then it becomes passe and last weeks cat litter before it hits the floor.

The nature of Hong Kong studios, which produces movies with a VERY SHORT shelf life,  means that the latest blockbusters are often replaced by the latest fresh faced singer or beauty queen to emerge from the shadows of obscurity, and into the bright lights and voracious appertites of the Hong Kong, film going, public.
      There are only three types of ppl who watch, let alone collect, hong Kong movies...;
( 1 ) : Your die hard, "Can't Stand Guns and Modern Clothing" type..., also known as, 'A Traditionist'.., Flowing Robes..., Exotic Fighting Styles, the pigtales & white hair,
( 2 ) : The Scholars of the John Woo/Chow Yun Fat Academy of Humane indifference and wholesale slaughter, and,
( 3 ) : Those who see further than the nearest horizons, they watch all, have a wider breadth of subject matter and are able to be impartial..., even to the extent of admitting that some of THEIR OWN COLLECTION contains dire footage best left on the cutting room floor.
