Actually I went with her, and we were taken by her Auntie Lauriel and Uncle John. She's made me very nervous because she said everybody will dress up formally, while all I got is my jeans and converse! I actually borrowed pair of black platform shoes from 阿嫂 which are two sizes smaller than my feet, but I still have them.
After 10 minutes driving we arrived the middle of nowhere, ha, yes, there's a very small church in the middle of nowhere. Jenna was right, everybody dressed formally, even the kids wear shirts and ties. Anyway, it started at around 11am, the minister told a story from the Bible about someone called Daniel...blablabla....I felt like having morning assembly but I'm still glad that I came, not only because I like the atmosphere (you know where everybody is nice and friendly and they actually say hello and welcome to me and the minister came talk to me and shake hands and stuff), also because I got the prayer, hehe, I've asked him to look after me, I think everything'll be alright then. ^_*
After the church thing, Uncle John drove us back to Jenna's (of course after I changed back my jeans!) Jenna's mum, Shirley is an extraordinary woman, she's nice and friendly, open-minded and understanding, caring and sweet (just like mum), and she's manager at NEXT (where I bought my shoes last time, actually now I remember she served me, umm). Auntie Lauriel, her sister, is funny and kind and very religious (I saw her made notes on the Bible), I like her a lot. Lauriel's husband Uncle John is a teacher, he didn't talk much but he's also kinda witty and nice. We had some snacks and coffee, then Shirley said 'Let's go'. I didn't know where they'd bring me to, I just got into the car. It turned out that she wanna show me her family, when I say family, I mean her entire family. First we went to pick up Charlene, Jenna's sister, who works at a nursing home. I had a quick look, it's for the elderly, many of them just sit there, completely still. Charlene said most of them are sick, some can't talk, some can't move. The scene was very depressing. Then we visited Shirley's big brother, Gordon. He has a nice big house and two lovely kids, but I didn't 'WOW' until Shirley told me he owns a few acre of land around the house! But he's not a farmer, he's a milkman! He has 85 cows(?!), he makes milk and sell them to the dairy company. Despite of the cows, he has a big black rabbit, a dog, a cat called Lulu, and two kittens whose named Lulu 2 and Lulu 3 ^_^. Time is running short so we said goodbye and went to Shirley's parents'. They are, like their children, extremely nice and friendly, and they look much younger and healthier than they actually are (I learned later that granny had a major operation not long ago and she's now having Parkinson. God bless her). They have a warm and lovely home with all the pictures of their children and grandchildren hanging on the wall. Not if I had to go back to work we wouldn't say goodbye and would definitely stay for dinner! >o<
Going back to Wing's is like going back to the real world. v.v It's so nice of Shirley, everybody is so nice, I like them a lot! All of them! Can't believe tomorrow is my last day! I really shouldn't kept Jenna away for all these days.......sigh......but it's still not too late, I still have tomorrow! Can't wait! ^______^
