| REMODELING AND ADDITIONS Upgrading existing facilities to meet new employment and technology demands can be overwhelming. MBI can provide you with the essential tools you need in order to minimize the impact to your business. We adapt our construction services to perform the remodel or addition with minimal design criteria. Typical types of projects include: - Medical offices; - Laboratories and associated equipment; - Clean rooms (medical and technological); - Computer data storage areas; - Office renovations and additions; - Packaged walk-in coolers and freezers; - Building additions including site work and foundation systems; - Modifications to mechanical, electrical, and fire protection systems; - Storefront and glazed wall systems; - Elevated structural flooring systems; - Data, communication and media cabling; - Restaurants and associated equipment; - Any other special purpose rooms and additions. Design and Estimating The design of remodel and addition work tends to be less formal. This requires basic criteria of the intent you wish the objective of the finished project to be. We take the information you provide and generate a series of AutoCAD drawings for you to review and edit for further revision and fine-tuning. Depending on the complexity, some design will be contracted out through MBI to applicable sources. With the added detail, we present the design package for our subcontractors to review for constructability and estimating purposes. This process not only provides you with accurate figures for construction costs, but it also relies on the expertise MBI and our subcontractors have to determine the feasibility of products used and construction techniques practiced. Allowances will be used in areas of construction where there is not enough specific information to estimate. Value Analysis With our proposal, you will receive a list of cost savings ideas for your consideration. Our value analysis identifies alternative construction products and finishes that will still meet your design criteria, but offer savings to the overall project. You may evaluate the each item listed and select which items you would like to incorporate accordingly. Value analysis achieves two (2) fundamental goals: 1) Insures the project will be delivered within your budget and 2) enables you to allocate saved funds to another phase of the project. Construction Of Your Improvement MBI will perform all work within the parameters that meet your schedule and with minimal impact to your workspace. We coordinate all material deliveries and subcontractor activity as to achieve this goal. MBI understands the need to remain flexible with the design and construction of the improvement. Approval of our work by you and your staff is important to our relationship. |
