| MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM (MIS) REPORTS MBI, in keeping with the emphasis on communication, will prepare and distribute comprehensive progress reports that will track all activities and action items that affect project costs. The issuance of these reports will position the team for effective and timely leadership in not just controlling cost, but time, scope and quality as well. - Narrative Report: This Executive Summary provides an overview of current issues, pending matters, team decisions required, anticipated developments, expected near term achievements, and any problems, potential delays, that may affect the planned project progress and delivery. - Job Cost Report: This includes the current construction cost estimate, status of GMP, costs incurred, disbursements and estimated disbursements of the following month, allowances and change proposals, contingency status and projection of final cost. - Overall Project Schedule Summary: Actual progress versus planned progress is analyzed by identifying the current schedule and subset schedules identifying the current critical path and critical path milestones confirming that they accurately depict job status. - Monthly Accounting Narrative: Costs incurred for current period, costs committed to date and projected costs are presented as they relate to established budget allocations. - Construction Progress Report: A summary of work in place, current activities for each trade contractor working on the project and overall construction progress is reviewed in this report. It includes information on: 1. Material and equipment deliveries and status of stored materials; 2. Permit and inspection status; 3. Recommendation and action plan for resolution of construction problems; 4. A daily diary summary describing features and conditions at the site; 5. Activities planned for the coming month. TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES MBI employs a mobile computing system from which most daily business is conducted. This system also utilizes a portable digitizer as to provide increased availability to preconstruction services. Our company has the ability to use Microsoft�s Net Meeting to implement teleconferencing as required. Our software starts with the Windows Me operating system, and includes Microsoft Office 2000, Microsoft Project 2000, AutoCAD 2000, Timberline Extended, and various specialty applications. We are committed to utilizing other MIS systems compatible with the owner�s systems that will serve to effectively manage and control the project. We have initiated a company website and will post video recordings of the construction process to keep all parties current on job progress. |
