Introduction: We are a group of kids from Duke of Connaught Public School located in Toronto, Ontario Canada. First there is Hugh, the lazy one. Buddy only wrote 2 lines about himself. There is Boris, the quiet one. He is the brave one to do the art work of our project. There is Rupert, the laughing one. He along with Hugh did the major writing, with Boris doing a part (since he is doing the art) of this project and then there is me; Tanvir. I am the one responsible for the website. We attend the gifted program at Duke of Connaught P.S. in grade 7 and 8. This is a part of our group project on Montreal. We were given the opprtunity to study about the different ethnic groups that live in Montreal including the French, The English, The Natives, The Vietnamese etc... One of the main reason for us doing this project is because on April 23, 2001 we will go to Montreal with several different other grade 8 classes. This is our end of the year big trip. We had to pay $395 canadian (yeah it's expensive, tell me about it) to go to this trip. Having said that it is going to be fun being with our friends for a week. This project is for us to learn more about Montreal in an indepth way, right before we actually go to Montreal, so once we are there and we start to explore the rich heritage we have a deeper understanding about the city. Now my group members indivually will say some things about themselves and their opinions on working on this project. |

Hugh: Hi, I'm Hugh. I go to Duke gifted as well, but unlike these guys I am in grade 7. I like building robots, playing soccer and studying japanese swords. My favourite soccer team is Brazil. Our project rocks and I am having a very good time doing it. |

Rupert: I'm Rupert. I'm the bigest guy in the group. 6'1 and 170 or so and I'm only in grade 8. I'm going to Jarvis for high school next year with Tanvir. Boris was supposed to go to but he played us. Anyway, I like basketball, hip hop, rap and beating anyone in my group at anything they choose. This project was fun for most of the time, sometimes we just can't get things settled. |

Boris: Hi, I'm Boris. I love to play sports; like Basketball, soccer, hockey, and tennis. I am in grade 8 now and am going to Leaside High School next year. I will be attending the gifted program there. All of my teachers said that it was impossible, but I guess I proved them wrong. They tried to make me go to Danforth! As you have probably read above, I got stuck with the artwork. I have got to draw maps and all that other stuff, so wish me luck. |

Tanvir: Finally me, Tanvir. I am in grade 8 in Duke Of Connaught and preparing to go to high school at Jarvis Collegiate Institute with Rupert. I also like basketball, rap and hip hop music. On my spare time I like to draw cars. I am in my school band and play the drums (Actually all of us play in the school band.) I play in OBA (Ontario Basketball Assosiation) and I am hoping to get a scholarship to go and play in the States. I am the creator of this web page but having said that I'm not taking anything away from my group members. Our work was all equally divided. I had a lot of fun working with these guys on this project. At times we became lazy and wasted our time when we should have been working, but when push came to shove we all pulled together and hopefully we will get a mark that will put a smile on our faces. |
