Thanksgiving Tournament:
Montour JV Hockey tournament - Montour JV made it to the championship game and suffered a tough loss in overtime to Central Catholic. The Montour JV team participated in this very competitive AAA tournament and competed extremely well. Each game had an opportunity to collect 5 points, based on period wins and the final game score. The following have breakdowns of each game:

Game 1 vs. Upper St. Clair
Montour lost the first game against Upper St. Clair (AAA) 2-1 with a goal scored by Mario Victor. 

Game 2 vs. Baldwin
The Spartans then lost in a second nail biter to Baldwin in a 6-5 loss. Montour's goals were scored by Dan Butler, Mario Victor, Tim Ruhl (2) and Josh Spano. Assists were distributed from Ryan McGregor (2), Josh Spano, Andy Millick (2) and Dan Butler.  

Game 3 vs. Meadville
Montour won 2-0 with goals from Greg Clarke and Dan Butler - assisted by Kyle Southerlin & Keith Kurelis. Goaltender Matthew Skoff provided the shut out in net for Montour and allowed Montour to move onto the semi-finals with a game against the hosting team, Mt. Lebanon. 

Game 4 - Montour vs. Mt. Lebanon (SEMI-FINALS)
It could not get any closer than this game, with the game ending in a 1-1 tie and after two 5 minute overtimes that went into shoot-out.  Matthew Skoff kept Mt. Lebanon from scoring - while Justin Siegel and Dan Butler were able to capitalize and score for Montour. It was a very well played game that allowed Montour to move into the championship again Central Catholic.

Game 5 - Montour vs. Central Catholic (FINALS)
This game also ended in a 1-1 tie with a goal by Mario Victor that was assisted by Keith Kurelis. However, Montour lost in overtime but managed to go further than any other Montour JV team. The Montour Spartans JV team is coached by Jim Leja (Head Coach) and assistants Phil Spano and Tom Wayne.
