ROBOT REBELLION

Episode I

Karen and Carl were twins. They were twelve years old and lived in Los Angeles with their father Roy, an engineer. Karen loved playing with computers, programming them and making them. Carl also liked computers but his favourite hobby was designing robots. Their house was a strange place. They didn’t have any normal robots or computers like other houses. Karen and Carl programmed their own computers and they had their own personal robot called Junior. Junior was friendly and very clever. He could cook, do the washing-up and answer difficult questions.

On Friday September 24^th 2050 Carl, Karen and Junior suddenly heard a terrible noise in the street. They looked outside and saw cars crashing and heard lots of explosions. Karen was very worried and wanted to know what happened. She asked Junior to check with his satellite information system. Junior told Karen and Carl that there were terrible problems in South California. All the robot cars crashed, the domestic robots didn’t do their work, the house computers exploded and the guard robots killed people in the streets.
