About Us
The Pheasants Forever Story
Pheasants Forever is a nonprofit conservation organization founded in 1982 in response to the continuing decline of the ring-necked pheasant population. Pheasants Forever is dedicated to the protection and enhancement of pheasant and other upland wildlife population through habitat improvement, public awareness and education, and land mangement policy changes. Pheasants Forever is fortified by a unique system of county chapters that provide incentive for sportsmen and women to raise money. 100% of the net funds raised by chapters remain at the chapter level for local habitat projects.  A typical habitat restoration program includes elements of the following: nesting cover renovations, winter cover plantings of windbreaks and hedgerows, food plot establishments, wetland restorations and land acquistions. Pheasants Forever also proposes and supports conservation legeislation benefiting the ringneck and other upland wildlife populations at both the state and federal levels.
Protect, restore, and enhance wildlife habitat by establishing and maintaining local and regional projects. To develop, distribute and foster conservation education.  Introduce and advance prudent conservation policy.  Acquire and preserve critical habitat through public land acquisition open to public hunting.
Over 100,000 grassroots members and volunteers who have developed more than 3 million acres of pheasant and other wildlife habitat since inception.  600 chapters completing over 25,000 projects annually.  More than 4,000 educators promoting conservation through the Leopold Education Project(LEP). A vast network of individual and corporate contributors.
The Montgomery County Chapter of Pheasants Forever has only one fundraising event per year--our Annual Banquet.  All of the activities, youth hunts, services, and resources made possible through the local chapter for the upcoming year are paid for by the money raised during the banquet.  We depend on the donors and sponsors of these banquets who, through their generous gifts and support, ensure an enjoyable evening for all who attend and a profitable fundraiser for the chapter.  If you, as an individual or through your business, would like to learn more about how you can have a positive impact on habitat and wildlife preservation in Montgomery County, please contact us.
