Monterey Bay Thunder - The Author

Glenn Cravens has been in the newspaper business since 1995, when he was 15 years old. He has been a reporter for The Salinas Californian since 1997, starting off as a writer for the teenager section “Attitudes,” and moving up in the ranks. He is currently a sports reporter and video game columnist.

Glenn is a five-time video game champion, with his biggest win taking place at the Powerstation Extreme Tour finals in July 2003 in Orange, Calif. He’s competed in video game tournaments throughout California since 2000 and is one of only three people to win at least one performance championship and one technical championship in “Dance Dance Revolution.”

Glenn lives in his hometown of Salinas, Calif., is single, and likes long walks on the beach if he's able to listen to his iPod. He is a 1998 graduate of North Salinas High School and attended Monterey Peninsula College, where he obtained his Associate Arts degree. He is currently a student at California State University, East Bay.

Glenn keeps an online journal of his video game escapades. You can read about his trials and tribulations by clicking here.
