Well in a nut shell I write & play acoustic music I try and tell people that I am influenced by many styles from, blues, jazz, country, folk, rock.....just so many styles I can't exactly pin point what styles it is. Some say it's very third coast....and I say where the hell is that third coast, but whatever the style it is it's all stuff I either have lived, poems I have written or even My best friend Dawns attempt at her insane ramblings that turn out to be pretty good songs. And also My friend Cyndi (the craziest bitch I've ever dealt with ) but she is a pretty good poet in her own right . But most of my songs, I've wrote 17 out of 23 songs so I think I know what I'm doing. I play at a lot of open mikes of which "Eric Geyers" open mike at the old "St. Marys Brewing Co." is where it all began, and I still play at "Sams Burger Joint" when I can. with Eric and many other very talented acoustic players and hope to start playing with another buddy of mine "Russell Clepper" out at "the Specht Country Store". I might be wrong about the name of that place but it is really nice. And I have also played at various other place including, scenic loop cafe, the mixx, the white rabbit,once on there thursday night acoustic thing, the now no more "reverb lounge" and even played on hollywood blvd. for "Jay Leno" but don't know if they ever aired that or not, but I did it! I hope by having this site that I can get recognition for my abilities as a musician and spread this love I call Music! Danny Y? |
