| The girl that is the princess of the wolves. Marlo�s human daughter, she had been thrown at the wolf�s feet by her parents, and instead of eating her Marlow raised her. She fights to rid the forest of the humans as a wolf (she wears a mask and fur in representation of this). At first she holds no value on human life, but through Ashitaka, she began to see value, although she could not forgive. She is smart, strong, wild but emotional. She cared dearly about Marlow, Lord Akoto, the forest, and Ashitaka. She was the second to recognize the value of human life, even if she could not forgive. I think she represents the middle� people are animals, brothers and sisters to all life. San was the literal representation between the two. She was �neither wolf nor human�. Perhaps she was what we should all strive to work towards although, in the end she couldn�t live with Ashitaka. |
