| Kaya- Ashitaka�s sister. Although not much is given on her I�d wager that they were close. Ashitaka risked himself to save her and the other girls. She broke the law to see him off, and gave him her precious crystal dagger. |

| Old woman- Although never named in the English version, she is the strongest member of the Emishee people. She predicts the coming of the demon, and arrives quickly after to care for Ashitaka�s wound. She then predicts the fate with stones, and guides Ashitaka to the first steps of his journey. |
