| Monoculture Media Conglomerate has operated from many locations over the years. Monoculture Records was founded in Vancouver, BC in 1997 and set up its corporate headquarters there. As the company became a multinational corporation in 1999 and a media conglomerate in 2000, Monoculture opened offices (as well as the infamous Monoculture Intern Sweatshop) in Portland, OR and, later, Rochester, NY. As large and diverse as it grew, however, Monoculture's home office remained in the same Vancouver building as it began in 1997. We were evicted from this space in August, 2005. Currently, Monoculture Media Conglomerate is without a proper headquarters and operates from its temporary locale in Rochester. While we remember Monoculture Media Conglomerate: Portland Branches 1999-2000, '00-'01, '01-'02, and Summer 2002 (a.k.a. "The Crazy Lady Pet House") fondly, all photographic evidence of these spaces has been lost in the moves and corporate mergers. Please join us in remembering MMC: Portland Branch 2003-'04, the day we moved there from MMC: Portland '02-'03, and the original and magical Monoculture Corporate Headquarters in Vancouver. I am convinced that the ghosts of teen-aged r.mutt, Dr. Meow Meow, Monop�le!, and Three Boys in a Flying Machine still haunt the latter, hanging out and playing Donkey Kong Jr. Math.
