12/5/01: Square recently held a poll at the PlayOnline website in which it asked gamers to name their favorite Final Fantasy theme from the past, excluding the Melodies of Life and Eyes on Me lyrical songs. The fans have spoken, and the winner is Aerith' s Theme from Final Fantasy VII. Gamers chose this theme song over some powerful competition, and by a wide margin.

Aerith's Theme will be arranged with lyrics and performed by Rikki, also did the vocals for the Final Fantasy X theme song. The two will be released together on a Maxi Single CD
