Preliminary Petition from Monmouth College Theta Chi Alumni
This preliminary petition is being created with the mission statement of bring back Theta Chi to Monmouth College. Theta Chi and Monmouth College have a long history beginning in the 1880’s (an exact date is needed) starting initially as Beta Kappa Fraternity.
The committee members from the local Monmouth vicinity will dedicate their time to initiate the first pledge class into Theta Chi Fraternity and the local Theta Chi members will be represented in a separate document.
In bringing back Theta Chi to Monmouth College the alumni will abide by all doctrines agreed to by Theta Chi National and the Monmouth Administration. Prior to this petition being distributed Theta Chi National and Monmouth College administration have agreed to conditions for bringing back Theta Chi to Monmouth College. These terms and conditions will be clearly stated in the petition. To demonstrate the concern of all Theta Chi alumni we expect nothing short of 100% participation in the petition.
Theta Chi fraternity and Monmouth College have had a long rich heritage. The living alumni of Theta Chi Monmouth College desire for future generations of Monmouth students to have this same life changing experience. The positive benefits to Monmouth College and to future students of Monmouth College from their association with Theta Chi fraternity is our intent .
