Sarah Jacobs + Princess Leia = Princess Sarah. Sarah is (obviously) the youngest of the female lead characters in Newsies. She is Les's sister, as Leia and Luke are brother and sister(...only they're twins, and there's a considerable age difference between Sarah and Les, but let's just leave it the way it is).

Francis Sullivan + Han Solo = Fran Sullo. Francis (alias Jack "Cowboy" Kelly, who also appears in Pape Wars - this will be explained later) is the slightly rougeish, older guy whom Les looks up to. This is not the case with Luke and Han, but since Han and Leia end up together (equals Princess Sarah and Fran Sullo), it just worked.

David Jacobs + Chewbacca = Davebacca. This one was quite simple: David is constantly speaking, whether or not it makes any sense, and Chewie is always roaring and you can't understand a word he says anyway. Also, David is called "The Walkin' Mouth", and in SW Princess Leia comments on Chewie: "Would somebody please get this walking carpet outta my way?"

Crutchy + C-3P0 = Crutchy-P-0. This one was quite easy: C-3P0 and Crutchy are both loveable characters who can be slightly annoying at times and who can barely walk.

Racetrack Higgins + R2-D2 = Race2-Track2. There was absolutely no logic behind this one.

Mayer Jacobs + Darth Vader = Darth Mayer. It shouldn't be too hard to figure out: Vader is Luke and Leia's dad, and Mayer is Sarah and Les's dad. Heehee.

Joseph Pulitzer + Emperor Palpatine = Emperor Pulitzer. Both characters have total control of something big.

Mush + Blink + Spot + other newsies + The Rebels = The Rebel Newsies. They're rebelling against the Editor Empire.

Oscar + Morris + Stormtroopers = Scabtroopers. They're meanies. Period.

Mr. Weisel + Governor Tarkin = Governor Weisel. Both characters are meanies and they both have an obviously "foul stench" (as in the words of Princess Leia, "I recognized your foul stench when I was brought on board."...although Weasel's stink is never voiced. You can just look at him and tell that he don't smell like no fresh pansy).

Brian Denton + Obi-Wan Kenobi = Obi-Sun Dentobi. Denton is kind of the friend/mentor type dude, as is Obi-Wan.

Kloppman + Yoda = Kloda. Kloppman and Yoda are both about 900 years old and they're both wise, although Kloppman isn't green with big, hairy ears...

Warden Snyder + Jabba the Hutt = Snyder the Hutt. As Jabba is constantly searching for Han Solo, Snyder is constantly searching for Francis Sullivan (Fran Sullo).

Various Street Urchins + Jawas = The Jawas. They steal stuff just like the SW Jawas.

Various Policemen + Tusken Raiders = The Rally Raiders. Uhm, yeah.

Medda Larkson + Mon Mothma = Mon Medda. There wasn't much logic behind this one, either.

Jack "Cowboy" Kelly + Lando Calrissian = Kello Cowrissian. Uhm, I don't know exactly how to explain this...let's see, Han Solo's old friend is Lando. Would that make Jack an old friend of Francis? Anyway, Lando betrays Han and his friends, but later makes peace with them. Same with Jack and the newsies. The Francis/Jack thing...you'll just have to assume that Francis has a split personality. :)
