Title: Telepathy 2: Sams healing
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Telepathy
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Sam sat in the infirmary on a bed, Jack on the bed next to her asleep. If she wanted to she could see what he was dreaming, but she didnt. She didnt talk out loud much, unless it was necessary. She knew that shed retreated into her mind, but it was comfy there, though the scientist in her made her realise that sooner or later she would have to face reality. Normally, this wouldnt have been a problem, but shed only just managed to talk out load like it was a second language. She could still feel the mans hands on her, feel him inside of her. And she shuddered and knew that she would never forget that. But she also remembered the times with Jack, when they had made love. The last time had been just before She shuddered again at the memory of the filthy hands on her.
Daniel walked into the quiet infirmary, his eyes immediately finding the beds of his two friends.
"How's Sam?" he asked Janet as she stepped out of her office to join him. "She looks bad."
"Her physical wounds will heal.... but its the mental scars Im worried about." Janet sighed. There are several bruises, some cuts that I needed to put some stitches in, but hopefully no physical scars. As I said, the mental scars will be there first and foremost. Im worried about her Daniel. I mean, there is nothing that I can do! If only there was. But, you and the Colonel are the only ones who can help her.
I know Janet, I know. What she needs from you is for you not to feel pity for her, just your support. And I know thats what youre feeling right now. Janet, she knows that youre there for her. Daniel put his hand on her shoulder. He looked over at Sam again; she was curled up and was hugging herself. He sent over comfort and she thanked him. No one could argue that her recovery would be strange. They had all felt what she felt, and they could all help her and take her pain away. She would heal faster than normal, they knew that. Just how fast would be the question. He felt a pang of pain from Janet, and new that she was feeling guilty, wishing she could do something. Daniel hugged her and guided her out.
Janet felt helpless. There was nothing she could do. She couldnt help Sam as much as Daniel, which was another problem. She knew she shouldnt be feeling this, especially now, but she was feeling more for him now than she used to. She wouldnt say love, but she knew that it was coming close. And Sam. What could she do about her? Sam was her best friend, she told her everything. Sam told her everything. She wanted to help, wished she could dearly. Jack would be the biggest help. Those two were very close. She knew that they were dating, the whole base knew. Even Hammond did, and he just over looked it, ignored it officially, but congratulated them unofficially. Jack would be able to help the most, she told herself. She has Jack and Daniel.
'But she doesnt have me!' her mind screamed. 'No, thats not true. She does have me; I just cant help as much as the others can. Or can I?'

// Most likely they are occupied\\
~ I knew that~
I walk up to Daniel, and see his worry. I wonder what it is. I suddenly have a very bad feeling about this. Whats wrong?
 Daniel....
Its Sam. We should ah, talk about this some place else.
~ What is it? Selmac? ~
// Shhhh, friend. You shall see in time. \\
So Daniel leads me to the briefing room. Whats happened to my Sammy?

# Jack #
Sam.
Yeah?
You do know that youll have to talk aloud when Dad comes dont you?
Yeah. I can wait though. You know Jack; Im already doing better than I thought. I can feel everyones support. And theres other things that I dont know how to put into words. Its all helping. But, its still safer in here, more comfortable. Nicer. I can still feel him Jack, I can still feel him inside me.
A brief thought shoots through my head. How can I help her, how can I ever fully understand what she's been through? I can tell she hears what's going through my mind. She reaches out her arms and pulls me into a tight embrace.
"Youve already helped me more than you know, she tells me, silent tears running down her cheeks. Im amazed, she spoke out loud! I hug her close, and she does the same. We both need each other right now. The two of us have a very strong mental link, probably because we had a minor one before we became telepathic. I could feel almost everything. And I can feel her pains as if it were my own. I need her, and she needs me. We need each other, as we always have. I feel tears run down my cheeks.
Id moved to Sams bed after Janet had left. Our need for each other had drawn us together, yet again. We have always needed each other; always will, now more than ever. We hold onto each other for dear peace. Peace of mind. Though its still not at peace, its better than when were separated. God, I love her so much. My world would be null without her. I know that she felt the same, and I know that someone was approaching the infirmary, but we dont part, as we knew whom it was.
# Jacob #
// Calm down my friend. You cannot help her by being angry.\\
~I suppose not, but I still hate him. Good thing Im not a Jedi. ~
// You and your cultural references. \\ Selmac answered just before Jacob walked into the infirmary.
The first thing that I saw was Jack and Sam hanging on to each other for dear life, dear sanity. I can understand that, honestly I can. Sam needed all the loved ones she could get, and her CO was the most loved of her loved ones. Above me even.
Id been informed of the Tele-trio, their newfound telepathy, of how that had been responsible for Sams fast healing. No one knew what would happen. For all they knew, tomorrow Sam could be up and about, fine as anyone could be after rape. Or it could take longer. All they knew was that it would be strange, and unable to compare it to that of anything like it.
Sam
*Two weeks later*
When they said that they couldnt predict Sams healing, they had been right. More so than they thought. After General Carters visit, her recovery had sped up, but steadily. Until a few days ago that is. She had woken up one morning, gotten up, showered, dressed and went off to her lab to catch up on work.
From then on, Sam had seemed fine. She laughed, smiled, joked and played around. She was more open than normal around people, and bathed in their support and kindness. It was truly a miracle and the support of the base that had caused this.
But yesterday, Sam had come in for her weekly check up, to see how things were going. And Janet had discovered something that would cause a reaction no one would be able to predict. She was sitting with Sam and Jack in her office, about to tell them.
Janet, please, just tell me. Whatever it is, I need to know.
Sam..okay. I dont know if I should be happy or sad but. youre pregnant.
# Sam and Jack #
WHAT?!
# Daniel #
I ran to the infirmary after hearing this. Pregnant? By whom? Jack, or the sicko that had raped her? Who was the babys father?

I must indeed protect Samanthacarter from any harm. It is my duty to do so. I cannot help her in her mind as much as I would like, though I can protect her from yet more physical harm. ONeill and Danieljackson will be able to help her mind heal, Doctorfraiser will heal her body. I will try to keep it that way. As I approach the infirmary, I see Danieljackson and Doctorfraiser come out, their arms around each other. Doctorfraiser appears distressed, most likely not impressed by the thought that she cannot help her friend as fully as Danieljackson and ONeill can. I will hold guard. None may enter unless they have reason. Reasons that I approve of. I shall not let my friend be harmed again.
There isnt much I can do, as much as I wish it were otherwise. Ive known Sam since she was young, as I knew her father even then. But we didnt talk all that much, we didnt really know each other. I simply knew enough to know that she was good, and that we needed her. There is only one thing that I can do. Call Jacob. He has to know, shes his daughter. I go outside my office, and into the control room. I give them a message to give to the Tokra. To call for Jacob. He will come, I know it. I walk off, waiting for him to come. I tell Daniel to come when Jacob arrives. There is nothing more I can do now. Im helpless.
I walk through the Gate and into the Gate Room. Only Daniel and George are there. Wheres Sam? Wheres Jack?
I opened my eyes and saw Sam looking at me. It hadnt been a nightmare. Sam - beautiful, wonderful Sam - had been violated. I knew that she was worried as to if she still loved me, and I did. I could feel the helplessness of Tealc, Janet and Hammond. I also knew that Jacob was here. And I knew that Sam knew.
~I will kill that bastard that did this to her! ~
Thanks to Net whom beta read this for me, and Id love some feedback!
