After All is Forgotten

Fire towards farther skies,

sun set as my heart dies.

No matter what I see,

no future for me.

The silence in the night,

calls me to this blight.

Fire and ash in this maze,

forgotten all of the past ways.

Without eyes for light,

I have never reached the hopeful heights.

I have been awakened,

for my heaven has left me forsaken.

I should sleep in the depths of this dead sea,

for all I am should not be.
