This promo was a tad less drastic than that, but it still asked a painfully obvious question that even one of those fucking plastic nimrods who deliver the �news� to us should be able to decipher. They were showing clips from some prison movie or TV show, which one I don�t know but it looked lame, so it must have been from TV. Then she mumbled some shit about how prisoner abuse is depicted in the show or movie, and then said, GASP!, that it happens in real life.
Yeah�and? I mean, so what? She apparently is interviewing some inmate�s mom about some abuse her kid suffered in prison. She then asks one of the dumbest questions I have ever heard a professional newscaster utter. She actually asked, �Why is it nobody cares about prison rape?� What kind of ridiculous question is that? Anybody want to know the obvious answer? Here it is�wait for it�wait for it�it�s because�wait for it�THEY�RE FUCKING CRIMINALS!
What�s so Goddamned difficult to understand about this? You really want to know why nobody cares about prison rape, or prison violence? Go ask the victims. I�m sure they�ll tell you a good, heart-warming story, and they�ll understand why you have more sympathy for the criminals than you do for their victims.
All these fucking nimrods advocating more rights for convicted prisoners make me fucking sick. No wonder people want to bomb our society out of existence; we care more about the rights of people who commit crimes than we do about the rights of the victims. We DESERVE to be bombed out of existence with idiocy like that running rampant!
You know what? These people broke the fucking law, plain and simple. This is the price you pay; you get stuck in a confined space with other people who have broken the law. I don�t understand why I�m supposed to have sympathy for these people. They have it too good as it is. There shouldn�t be these outdoor activities for these people, or library privileges or anything else. No TV, no movies no conjugal visits, NOTHING! They are fucking criminals. This is supposed to be a fucking punishment, not an enforced stay at a cheap motel. A bed, a sink and a toilet in a small room which they are not to leave until their sentence is served.
And none of this time off for good behavior shit either. If you�re sentenced to five years, you serve five years, period. Once you commit that crime, and you are convicted and sentenced, you HAVE no rights, plain and simple. You don�t like that, then don�t break the fuckin� law. It�s that simple.
And I don�t wanna hear any whining about people wrongfully imprisoned. This has nothing to do with the prison system, but the legal system. It�s the law and the courts that need a complete overhaul, not the prisons. The prisons are just fine the way they are. Well, they would be if they didn�t treat murderers like guests.
This whole thing makes me wanna puke in my soup, and then perhaps go and break the legs of all these mindless idiots who are yammering on about prisoner�s rights. Hey wait a minute. I could USE a little vacation � and I�m pretty sure that their cable service gets more channels than the one that I have to pay for. So watch out, Mr. or Mrs. Prisoner�s Rights Crusader, because when I really need to take a break from my life, I�ll be looking for a victim, and nobody�s gonna care about you, because I�LL be the prisoner, and the one with all the rights, thanks to you.
