| First thing we need to do, let's kill all the officials | ||||||||

| I know everybody who watches football will agree with the sentiment of what Im going to talk about here, even if they dont agree with all of the specific calls in question. As I write this, Im watching the Monday Night Football contest between the San Diego Chargers and the Pittsburgh Steelers. And during the second quarter of that game, a call was made by the officials that I believe is the reason it should be legal to pummel the fuckers in the striped shirts for.
Now, Im not talking about just walking up and start beating on them, but those dickless wonders are constantly getting in the way of plays on the field, and theres no recourse for teams that get fucked by these guys. So I dont think there should be any penalties for running them down and trampling them into the turf. Yknow, cuz they were in the way. The play, (well, the first one anyway,) that Im talking about was when Hines Ward got the ball, was NOT touched by a defender when he dove for the ball, got up and ran for a touchdown. Then, for some inexplicable reason, the officials overturned the call on a Coachs Challenge from Chargers coach Marty Schottenheimer. The showed the replay over and over, and it was painfully obvious to even the stupidest observer that Ward was never touched. There are some vegetables in my refrigerator that could have made that call correctly, but the zebras couldnt. Thats because they are fucking stupid. Then at the end of the first half, Pittsburgh got called for a personal foul when one of the safeties tackled a receiver. Im sorry, but I thought that was their fucking JOB! Tackle the opponent with the ball. Im getting sick and tired of the officials trying to be the ones deciding the outcome of these games. Football used to be played by men. Now we have overpaid sissies, for the most part. Add to this the fact that two weeks ago, in their game against the New England Patriots, the Steelers also got fucked by the officials, with the officials deciding the outcome of the game. They mistakenly left an extra 51 seconds on the clock, which gave the Patriots time to go down the field and win the game. They wouldnt have had that time without the officials mistake, and the Steelers would have had a fair chance to win that game. But instead, the officials incompetence led to a New England win, and all the Steelers got was a half-hearted, lame ass apology from the NFL head office. Yeah, thanks guys. Every single official from that game should be out of a job, and not even allowed to officiate a pee-wee league in Podunk. But of course that didnt happen, and those clowns are still officiating in the NFL. Yeah, theres justice. I dont know what the answer to this problem is. Its not just the Steelers games, although they DO seem to get shafted a lot, but ALL the games, and every team that has to deal with this shit. And they shouldnt have to. This is PROFESSIONAL football, so lets see some professional officiating. The best the officials have been in recent years is the season the officials were on strike, and the NFL was using college officials. Maybe they should go back to those guys, and we can get some fairly called plays. Cuz tonight the biggest question I have after that one call is how much extra did the Chargers pay them to overturn that call? |
