Turin was one of the most prominant countries near the end of the 3rd Age. It was built in the three of the six craters in what was called the plane of dead gods. The plane of dead gods is all the desolate area west of the Modar Mountains and east of the ocean. Turin was one of the most powerful and prosperous countries in the world at the peak of its power, but that power dwindled as it became involved in the war with Thanquol, its northern neighbor.
