All About the She Devils
Binghamton University Womens Rugby Football Club
B.U.W.R.F.C.
The Binghamton She-Devils have been at Binghamton University since 1990.  We are a competitive club sport team and contests against other Division I rugby clubs.  In our existence, we have won the Upstates Tournament in 1998 and placed second in 1997, 2001 and 2003.  We have had 5 consecutive undefeated seasons, collected hardware from many spring tournaments as well as many other various accomplishments.

Our most recent and honarable accomplishments include:

*Hosting SCRUMSTOCK, a spring tournament that has attracted women's rugby clubs from around New York State as well as Pennsylvania.  SCRUMSTOCK began in 2002 and will continue as an annual tournament hosted by B.U.W.R.F.C. contact our match secretary to reserve a spot in next year's SCRUMSTOCK (usually the weekend before Upstates).

*IRELAND TOUR '03!! Thanks to hard work and year long planning by our coach, Micheal Callan, and many girls on our team, we managed to fundraise enough money and gather enough interest for a rugby tour to Irelandfor a duration of 8 days.  A group of 21 had the chance to travel to Ireland, play 3 games, take part in 3 training sessions run by international coaches, attend a league match between Ganyowen RFC and Shannon RFC, meet several Ireland national players, visit historical sites throughout the country and of course experience much of Ireland's heritage, including traditional music, dance, and PUBS!!  B.U.W.R.F.C. exhibited much skill and endurance early in our trip as we beat 2 Irish ladies teams and only losing one of the 3 matches to the Clonmel Ladies rugby club, a top women's squad.  Since the tour was such a success and truly an experience of a lifetime, we have intentions to plan a tour for next spring break as well.  To promote camaraderie among players all around, we extend the tour invitation to any ruggers out there, contact our current president if you're interested in joining us!

B.U.W.R.F.C. is always looking for new players!!  We welcome everyone to come down and practice with us, no experience necessary and it takes all types to play rugby.  Our pitch is located on the corner of Murray Hill Road and Vestal Parkway.  We practice everyday throughout the fall and spring from 4:30 to 6:30, rain or shine.  So come down and join our club... REMEMBER, you'll never score unless you try!!
