Savior

These days have been so tiresome
My life on one big loop
Never stopping, alway perpetuating
The hot, endless days are monotonous
But now I pause for the rain
The delicate, cooling tears falling from Heaven
But no one is crying

I smile to myself as I just stop to watch
Listening to the light pittering on my window pane
Like dozens of cats running across my roof
The earth looks so alive
Plants seem green like it's spring again
And I myself feel a tingling within, a new growth

Standing to my feet I open my door and step into the new world
The sweet scent of a summer's rain fills my nostrils
Small, brown worms wiggle their way to the surface
It seems Nature has taken a day to awake Herself
And I feel so alive
I welcome the rain
