Pasadenas

UK soul band formed in 1987 by three brothers - Jeff Aaron Brown(b. 12 December 1964), Michael Milliner (b. 15 February 1962), and David Milliner (b. 16 February 1962), plus Hamish Seelochan (b. 11 August 1964) and Andrew Banfield (b. 4 December 1964). They had previously been performing since 1982 in an outfit titled Finesse. Finesse danced on videos by Animal Nightlife, Freez and others, appearing in the film Absolute Beginners. The band's debut 45, "Right On", was a tribute to artists such as Marvin Gaye. Follow-ups, including "Riding On A Train", "Enchanted Lady" and "I'm Doing Fine Now" (UK number 4 in February 1992), established them as a chart act proper. As well as the traditions of doo-wop, the band were heavily influenced by the spirit and style of the decade, despite their own acknowledgement that "being black in the 50s was not a nice thing".Discography:To Whom It May Concern (Columbia 1988)***, Elevate (Columbia 1991)***, Yours Sincerely (Columbia 1992)***.

Pasadenas is currently recording a new album and touring.....
