If Only Through Heaven’s Eyes – Chapter 9

Christmas came and went and so their time together was soon over. It was a bittersweet time for everyone. They were sad their time together was over, but would never trade the experience for anything.

Once home, planning for the wedding went into full swing, or more like chaos went into full swing. Plans were being finalized and things were finally starting to feel real.

Saturday morning after they had returned from Mississippi, Monica and Keeley were heading over to the bridal shop to do the final sizing on the brides maids dresses. The two pulled up in front of the boutique. Monica cut the engine and looked over at her friend with a smile.

“Well, are you ready?”

Keeley sighed as she stared into the window of the shop. “Wow, this is really happening isn’t it?” She asked her friend in slight amazement.

“Yep,” Monica said simply. “Now let’s go see my dress!”

As the two walked into the shop they heard tiny bells jingle announcing their arrival. They walked up to the counter and a moment later they were greeted by the shop owner, Carol.

“Ladies, it’s so nice to see you!” Carol said as she walked up to Keeley and gave her a hug and a kiss on the cheek. She did the same to Monica before stepping back, smiling widely at the two women in front of her.

“So, you two are here for the final fitting on the dresses, right?” Carol asked expectantly.

“Yes ma’am,” Monica replied.

“Wonderful. I’ll be back in a moment with your dress.” She turned and disappeared into a back room. She re-emerged carrying a white plastic bag. She set the bag on the counter and carefully unzipped it revealing Monica’s dress.

Keeley let out an audible gasp as Carol pulled the dress out. Carol shifted her eyes to the bride-to-be and smiled. “You like it?”

Keeley stood there for a second before replying, “No, no it’s awful!”

The smile came off Carol’s face as if someone had slapped her. “It’s the dress you picked out, miss.”

“It’s not the dress!” Keeley exclaimed. Monica looked at her friend. She couldn’t figure out what was the matter with her. It was the dress they had chosen a month ago. She didn’t know why Keeley was so upset about it.

“Well, what is it then?” Carol asked with concern.

“It’s…it’s…PINK!” Keeley cried.

Realization struck the owner of the store. Keeley had ordered her dresses in lavender. The one stipulation that Keeley had when they had looked at dresses before and discussed color was that she would never, NEVER have pink dresses.

Carol quickly slipped the dress back in the plastic cover and placed it behind the counter.

Realization struck Keeley. “Are all the bride’s maids dresses pink?”

“Let me go check.” A moment later Carol walked back into the shop. “I’m afraid they are all pink. I’m so sorry.”

“What are we going to do!” Keeley cried as she plopped herself down in a near by chair. She leaned forward and cradled her head in her hands.

“No worries, no worries!” Carol exclaimed as she rushed over to Keeley with a glass of water for the young woman. “We will just put a rush order on the replacement dresses.”

“But will it be ready in time? My wedding is in two weeks!” Keeley asked, feeling hopeless.

“That will be tight, but I guarantee that the dresses will be ready in one week,” Carol said with a firm nod.

Monica thanked Carol and helped her friend back to the car. Keeley seemed to be in almost a state of shock. Once both women were in the car Monica turned to the brunette sitting next to her.

“Kee, everything will be fine,” she told her reassuringly.

“What if this is a sign? What if I’m not supposed to get married? What if I’m supposed to be alone forever?” Keeley exclaimed. Her voice rising a bit after each question.

Monica turned and grabbed both of her friend’s shoulders. She made Keeley face her and told her firmly, “This is NOT a sign, you ARE supposed to get married and you will NOT be alone forever! This is just one stupid mix up, but you heard Carol, the dresses will be ready in a week. That gives us a week to spare before the wedding.” She smiled at her friend, “Ok?”

“Ok,” Keeley replied. She was so grateful she had such a great friend like Monica. She didn’t know how she would get through the next two weeks without her.

The next day Justin was scheduled to be in meetings with the rest of the guys so Keeley and Monica took the opportunity to check up on everything else for the wedding to make sure that there were no other misunderstandings or problems.

The first stop of the day was at the florist’s. The man behind the counter brought out a sample of each kind of flower that was going to be in the bouquets and in the wedding. He showed them the order slip and reviewed it with them.

Both women left very satisfied that everything was taken care of in the floral department.

Their next stop was the caterers. They met with Jessie, the coordinator for their wedding party and discussed the menu once again. Jessie brought samples of the main courses for them to taste. Keeley smiled and nodded as she savored the salmon that was melting in her mouth.

When they finished up at the caterers the two were sitting in the car. “Where to next?” Monica asked her friend.

“Hmm, well we still need to go to bakery and the salon. Let’s go to the bakery first.”

“Sounds good,” Monica told her as she shifted into gear and took off.

The rest of the day went smoothly. Both of them were thankful that they didn’t run into any more problems. Everything seemed to be going according to plan.

(one week later)
“Are you sure you don’t want to just wait in the car? I can go in there and check on the dresses,” Monica offered. “That way if they are wrong, I can kill her for you. I don’t think Justin would enjoy getting married in the women’s prison!” she laughed. Keeley shook her head and laughed out loud as she pictured the scene in her head…Justin slipping her wedding ring on her hand through the jail cell bars. Monica was just glad to hear Keeley laugh. Even though things were going smoothly, Keeley was still stressing. She had had some moments where she totally freaked out. Monica always did her best to calm her down.

“No, I think I can handle it,” Keeley told her friend and flashed her a reassuring smile. Monica nodded slightly.

“Ok, if you are sure,” she spoke quietly before saying a silent prayer that everything would be ok. She didn’t think that she could handle carrying a screaming, crying Keeley back out to the car if something went wrong. Monica had begged Lance to come with them, but had not been successful.

“Please!” Monica begged and sat down in Lance’s lap. She wrapped her arms loosely around his neck and gave him her best puppy dog eyes.

Lance firmly shook his head. “No.”

“Pretty please!” she whined. “I’ll love you forever.” This was her trademark begging phrase.

“You married me. You are already supposed to love me forever,” he informed her giving her a crooked smile. Monica just scoffed at him.

“Oh come on! I will do anything to get you to go! I don’t want to be alone if Keeley finds out that something isn’t right!”

“Anything?” he asked with a serious look on his face. Monica bit her bottom lip and nodded. Lance thought about it for a minute before shaking his head. He knew that as high as Justin’s stress level was Keeley’s was probably higher. Woman plus stress equals BAD. “Nope. Not worth it.”

“Argh!” Monica growled before jumping up off his lap. She grabbed a throw pillow and smacked him in the chest. “You suck,” she declared as she stormed towards the door.

“I love you honey!” he called after her. His response was a huff from her and the door slamming. He just laughed, glad that he had gotten out of the situation.

“Well come on!” Keeley said pulling the blonde from her thoughts. The two walked into the building and were quickly greeted by Carol.

“Welcome back girls. Come on the back and I will get the dresses for you. Monica linked her arms through Keeley’s and followed Carol to the back of the store. Carol quickly pulled out a bag and held it up. “Here they are.”

“Oh gosh I can’t look!” Keeley cried out and her right hand flew up to cover her eyes. Monica gave Carol a frightened look before sucking in a ragged breath and motioned for her to open the bag. Monica closed her eyes and listened to the sound of the bag being unzipped. When the noise had ceased the blonde barely opened her left eye to peek at the dress. She noticed that the dress was the right color. She quickly opened her other eye and took in the dress completely. It was perfect. The right color, the right dress, everything was perfect.

“Keeley, open your eyes!” she exclaimed and pulled Keeley’s hand down from her face. Keeley gasped when she looked at the dress. A worried look crossed Carol’s face but was quickly replaced with a smile.

“They’re perfect,” Keeley whispered.

“Wonderful!” Carol exclaimed as she clapped her hands together. “Why don’t you go slip this on dear, so that we can make the final alterations,” she said as she held the dress out toward Monica.

“Sure,” Monica said. She carried the dress to the dressing room in the back and emerged a couple minutes later.

Carol stepped forward immediately and began inspecting the dress. She furiously wrote notes as she circled the young woman in front of her.

“Your dress will be ready for you to pick up in two days dear,” she told Monica as she wrote the final alteration notes down and clicked the pen closed.

“Heidi will be in tomorrow to try on her dress and the other members of the bridal party will be flying in this Tuesday,” Keeley informed Carol as she looked through a bridal magazine distractedly.

“Will they be able to make it in that day?” Carol asked as she checked her appointment book.

“Yes, they are all flying in that morning. We can swing by and have them try on their dresses around noon. Is that OK?”

“That’ll be fine. We’re cutting it a bit close, but the dresses will be ready by Thursday.”

Keeley’s eyes widened. “Wow, you’re right that is cutting it close.” The wedding was Friday afternoon. If anything went wrong they would be stuck.

“Oh, don’t you worry about a thing. I’ll take care of everything. I promise,” Carol told her with a firm nod. The look of pure determination on the woman’s face helped set Keeley a little more at ease.

“Alright, well we’ll see you on Thursday!” The two girls waved goodbye as they headed out of the store, the door chimes jingling behind them.

Keeley and Monica had to get up bright and early Thursday morning and head to the airport. The two bridesmaids from out of town were flying in. Keeley had threatened Lance with his life if Monica wasn’t up and ready to leave at 7 am. She wanted to make sure that they got to the airport in plenty of time to meet the two planes. Amy’s flight was scheduled to arrive first. Amy was Keeley’s best friend from her hometown. Monica had only met her a couple of times. Cari’s flight was to come in soon after Amy’s and would be the final touch to the bridal party, which included Monica, Amy, Cari, and JC’s girlfriend, Heidi. Heidi had quickly become a close friend to both Monica and Keeley after they first met her back at the album release party.

Knock, knock

Lance opened the door to find a very eager Keeley standing on the other side.

“Is she ready to go?” Keeley asked just as soon as she saw the man on the other side.

“Keeley, I told you she would be ready,” Lance said as he turned around to go get Monica only to find her asleep sitting on the stairs leaning against the rail. He turned back to Keeley and laughed, “I never promised you that she would be awake.” Keeley rolled her eyes and walked over the stairs and grabbed Monica’s hand pulling her into a standing position. This immediately woke her up.

“Have I told you two lately that I hate you both?” Monica grumbled as she yawned. Lance laughed and kissed her on the forehead before Keeley began to pull her towards the door.

“Stop whining, you can sleep on the way to the airport.”

Monica finally started waking up on the way to the airport and Keeley began to talk nonstop about how excited she was about getting to see her two friends again. Keeley didn’t get home very often so she hadn’t seen Amy in quiet a while. They didn’t get to see Cari very often since her move.

Amy’s flight arrived on time with no problems. She and Keeley hugged and danced around for a few minutes. Monica sat and listened to the two of them chat and catch up on everything. Then Keeley glanced down at her watch and noticed that it was time for Cari’s flight to arrive and she began to get anxious. Ten minutes later the flight still wasn’t there and Keeley had begun to pace back and forth in front of Monica and Amy. Monica glanced around and noticed that the airport was fairly empty. She was grateful for the lack of people. This meant few fans. The last thing they needed was to draw attention to themselves. It had become public knowledge that Justin and Keeley’s wedding was the next day and the media was having a field day with it. So far the location of neither the wedding nor the reception had been found out yet. Everyone hoped that it would stay that way.

“Where is she?” Keeley exclaimed. She checked her watch for the fifth time in the last two minutes.

“Their flight is just running a little late. Calm down!” Monica exclaimed as she put a soothing hand on Keeley’s shoulder.

“I can’t calm down! We’re going to be late for the dress appointment!” Monica turned and gave her friend a look that said chill. “She’d better not have checked any luggage,” Keeley grumbled under her breath.

Five minutes later the three watched the plane taxi into the gate and passengers started streaming out. Monica and Keeley stood on their tiptoes to try and see through the flow of people.

“I think I see her!” Monica exclaimed.

“Where?” Keeley asked as she turned to her friend, but Monica was gone. She looked into the crowd and caught a glimpse of Monica throwing her arms around someone. She and Amy quickly made their way up to the hugging pair.

“Hey!” Cari said as she stepped back from Monica.

“Hey girl, we’ve gotta roll!” Keeley exclaimed as she reached forward and grabbed her friend’s wrist. She began to pull her down the terminal.

“Wait wait!” Cari cried as she pulled her arm away.

“What?” Keeley exclaimed as she turned around to see what all the fuss was about.

“I’d like to introduce you to someone,” Cari said. She beamed at her two friends.

“Who?” Keeley said looking around for someone with Cari. A moment later a young man pushed through the crowd and came to a stop next to her.

“Man, I thought you guys left me!” He exclaimed, slightly breathless.

“Guys I want you to meet Shawn, my fiancé!” Cari cried.

“WHAT?” Monica exclaimed. “Why didn’t you tell me on the phone that you got engaged?”

“I wanted it to be a surprise!” Cari exclaimed as she laced her fingers through his.

With his free hand Shawn reached out and greeted the two young ladies. “It’s wonderful to finally meet you. I’ve heard so much about you two!”

“Well I wish we could say that same about you,” Monica laughed. “Oh by the way, since Keeley is being rude, this is her friend Amy. She is one of the other bridesmaids.” Monica informed them.

Keeley continued to look at her friend in amazement. She shook her head bringing herself back to reality. “OK guys, we are on a serious deadline! Let’s move.”

The group screeched to a halt in the Bridal Shop parking lot without a minute to spare. They all knew how much Keeley hated being late, so they were relieved that they had made it on time. Heidi was already there and when they walked in Carol was making adjustments to Heidi’s dress.

Things went smoothly as Cari and Amy tried on their dresses. They hadn’t had time to take Shawn home to hang with the guys so they had to drag him along with them. He was slumped on the couch in the store, catching up on some missed sleep. After what seemed like an eternity to Shawn all the girls were done with their fittings and were told that the dresses would be ready in the morning.

The group hopped into the car and headed back to Keeley’s house. When they pulled into the driveway smells of a barbecue floated around them. The group stopped in the entryway to drop off the luggage, but Monica made a beeline out to the patio.

“What smells so good?” Monica asked as she walked over to Lance who was manning the grill. She looked at the burgers and chicken with hungry eyes.

“Hungry much?” Lance laughed when he heard Monica’s stomach growl loudly.

“I haven’t eaten all day! I’m dying!” She laughed as she punched him in the arm.

“Long time no see, Bass!” They heard a familiar voice call from the doorway. He turned around and a grin grew across his face.

“Cari!” He exclaimed as he walked over and picked her up to swing her around. “It’s great to see you!” His expression grew serious as he glanced over at JC. “You’re not still stuck on C are you?”

Cari turned on her heel and walked back into the house. Lance looked after her in astonishment. He couldn’t believe his question caused her to leave. A moment later Cari reappeared toting a tall young man.

“Lance, I’d like you to meet my fiancé Shawn!” She gave him an evil grin as she watched the two men shake hands. She leaned in and whispered, “So, does that answer your question?” He stared on in amazement as he watched her walk over to Joey and Chris to make her introductions.

A minute later Keeley emerged hand in hand with a girl who looked remarkably similar to her. They walked over to the group of people chatting outside.

“Ehem,” Keeley cleared her throat. When she had everyone’s attention she continued, “Hey you guys, I want you to meet one of my oldest and best friends, Amy.” She made the round of introductions and she couldn’t help but noticed the look of lust in Joey’s eyes as he stared at her friend.

“Don’t even think about it Joe!” Keeley said so only he could hear. “Amy is NOT going to meet the Italian stallion.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Joey exclaimed as he exchanged his expression for one of innocence. Keeley gave him a knowing nod and she couldn’t help but think that he looked an awful lot like a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Soon the food was done and everyone sat down to eat. Cari had almost forgotten the way the guys could inhale their food. She sat and watched JC for a few moments before shifting her gaze to Justin. She watched as Justin devoured his hamburger in just a few bites and reach for another one.

“You know Justin, it would seem to an outsider that we starve you the way you are eating,” Cari finally voiced.

Justin smiled with a huge bite of food in his mouth. He quickly swallowed and replied, “What can I say? The albino can cook.”

“Um…thanks…I think,” Lance replied, not sure whether he should take it as a compliment or not.

Everyone had finished with the meal and was sitting around visiting for a few minutes when Justin realized it was time to leave for rehearsals.

“Oh time to leave guys! We’ve got to get over to the church,” Justin announced and ushered everyone out to the pile of cars in their front yard. They raced over to the church.

“We’ll go let Preacher Alex know that we are here,” Keeley informed them as she slipped her hand into Justin’s and lead him away, leaving the others in the sanctuary. Monica and Cari talked non-stop as they waited for the couple to come back with the preacher. Shawn stood alone, looking around. Lance, who was now sitting in one of the pews, got Shawn’s attention and motioned him to come sit down.

“You look lost,” Lance commented.

“No, not really lost. I just don’t know what to do with myself,” Shawn admitted.

“My advice would be to just sit down and make yourself comfortable. I know how Monica and Cari get when they’re together. Right now they probably don’t even know we exist.” Monica, who was standing close enough to hear him stopped in mid-sentence and looked over Cari’s shoulder to roll her eyes at him.

“I know you still exist,” she informed him.

“Huh? Who are you talking to?” Cari asked her and turned around. She saw Lance and Shawn sitting nearby. “Oh! Hi!” she laughed.

“See what I mean?” Lance asked the new boy. Shawn just smiled.

A few minutes later the preacher walked out into the sanctuary.

“Let’s get this thing started,” Chris said when he spotted the trio. He was beginning to get bored and was looking forward to the chance to move around some.

“Glad to see that you are so eager to get started,” Keeley laughed.

“Ok, well let’s work with getting everyone lined up. Do you know how you want to pair everyone yet?” the preacher asked.

“Yeah, we’ve got that all worked out,” Keeley told him.

“Ok, so let’s get the maid or matron of honor and the best man in line first,” the preacher told them.

“Um…about that,” Justin started. “I don’t have exactly have a best man.”

“Oh?”

“Yeah. I couldn’t pick just one of the guys to be my best man…so all four of them are going to be,” Justin explained.

“That is totally understandable,” the preacher replied smiling. “Ok, then have your maid or matron of honor and one of the best men up front.” Keeley went into action and got everyone arranged in the order she and Justin had decided on. Monica and Lance were first, then Heidi and JC, followed by Chris and Cari, with Amy and Joey bringing up the end of the line.

“Why do I have to be in the back?” Joey whined.

“Because that way you will be in the back the longest and I can make sure that you don’t try to corrupt Amy,” Keeley informed him. Joey gave her his best innocent look. “Joe, that isn’t going to work. I know you five waaaay to well.”

“Don’t worry girl, I can handle myself,” Amy told her friend and poked Joey in the ribs.

“Question.”

“What, Cari?” Justin asked.

“Why do I have to be paired with Chris?” Cari decided it was now her turn to whine.

“Oh you know you love it baby,” Chris laughed as he slipped his arm around her waist and pulled her close. Shawn saw the look of horror cross Cari’s face and tried his best to conceal a smile.

“Dream on Chris,” Cari told him and pulled away.

“Aw you’re no fun anymore. Just be glad that there are no pools around,” Chris said with an evil grin on his face.

“You aren’t nice!” Cari said, laughing. The smile on Shawn’s face was replaced with a look of confusion.

“Don’t worry about it Shawn. We have a tendency to get nutty when we’re all together.” Justin told him. Shawn gave a knowing nod. Finally everything was straightened out and the rehearsal continued on. Everything was going well until the sounds of “Fur Elise” filled the room.

“Oh, that’s my cell phone!” Monica exclaimed. She started looking around. “ACK! Where is my purse?”

“Here, I got it!” Lance announced as he spotted it sitting on one of the pews. He quickly pulled out her phone.

“Hello?”

“Lance Bass! Where in the hell are you?” the voice filled his ears.

“Um…excuse me? Who is this?”

“Wow, your memory is worse than I thought it was. It’s Ashleigh, you moron. Do you know what time it is?”

“Um…no,” he said before quickly glancing down at his watch.

“It’s time for you to be at the airport. You were supposed to be here to pick me up 15 minutes ago!” Ashleigh exclaimed. It finally dawned on him that he had let time slip up on him.

“Oh Ash! I am sooooo sorry! Um…I think we’re about done here,” he told her and looked at Keeley and Justin. “Aren’t we about finished?”

“Yeah we are. You can go ahead and go. But let me tell you, I wouldn’t want to be you when you meet up with Ashleigh,” Justin told him.

“Tell him that I heard that! He doesn’t want me to kill him the day before his wedding,” Ashleigh yelled at Lance. “Now please come and get me. There are people giving me some really weird looks.”

“Um, maybe that is because you’re screaming at me on the phone!”

“Just shut up and get down here!” Ashleigh laughed.

“All right girl, I’m on my way!” Lance told her before he clicked off the phone. “Well I hate to run,” he told the group, “but I have a very mad Ashleigh waiting on me at the airport.”

“No problem Lance! What are you waiting for? Go!” Keeley said as she shooed him out the door.

The pastor went over the final details of the wedding, including the kiss. Justin made a big performance about dipping Keeley way back before planting a huge kiss on her lips. The guys cheered him on as she tried her best to regain her balance and push him back.

When she was finally upright she turned to him, “You’d so better not do that tomorrow!”

He gave her an evil grin and replied, “We’ll just have to see, now won’t we?” He wiggled his eyebrows up and down. In return, she stuck her tongue out.

“Yeah, they’re totally mature and ready to be married,” JC said, shaking his head.

Pastor Alex stood back with a smile on his face. This was the most fun he’d had at a rehearsal. Usually people were nervous and uptight, but this group seemed to just go with the flow and have fun.

Justin woke up as sunlight poured through the window and bathed his face. He squinted his eyes as he tried his best to avoid the invading light. When his eyes finally adjusted he gazed at his surroundings, filled with confusion. Slowly he remembered that he was staying in Lance’s guest room.

The night before when Justin was preparing to leave the church with Keeley to go home Monica had freaked out.

”What are you doing?” Monica screamed at the couple.

“Uh, going home to get some rest,” Keeley said as she looked at her friend with confusion.

“With him?” Monica asked, pointing at Justin as if she was crazy.

“Um, yeah,” Keeley replied slowly. “Why?”

“Every body knows that it’s bad luck for the bride and groom to see each other before the wedding!” She stated.

Keeley thought about it for a minute. She wasn’t a superstitious person, but she knew that Monica was not going to let this go.

“Fine,” she replied. “What do you suggest?”

Monica bit her lower lip in concentration. A moment later her lips curled into a smile. “Why don’t you stay with Lance at my place and I’ll stay with Keeley at yours? That way I’ll already be there to help her in the morning!” She exclaimed, excited about her idea.

Justin turned toward Keeley to see her reaction to Monica’s proposal. “What do you want to do?”

She let out a sigh, “I suppose that’d be best. I’ll just see you tomorrow at the church, OK?”

The two said their good-byes and the group went their separate ways.

Justin sat up in bed and wiped the sleep out of his eyes. A smile crept onto his face as he whispered, “I’m getting married today.”

He jumped out of bed and grabbed a towel as he entered the bathroom. He took a quick shower before going downstairs to find Lance.

He found his friend sitting at the table sipping a cup of steaming coffee. Lance looked up and smiled as Justin sauntered into the room. He couldn’t help but notice a spring in the groom’s step.

“So, are you feeling any jitters yet?” He asked the young man.

“Nuh uh,” Justin replied shaking his head. “I’m so excited! I never thought I’d be this excited to do something.”

“I know what you mean. I thought I’d be so nervous on my wedding day. I did get a little nervous but every butterfly in my stomach disappeared when I saw Monica walking down that aisle. It seemed like everyone else around us disappeared and it was only the two of us,” Lance smiled as he reminisced.

“Wow man, that’s awesome!” Justin replied. He hoped the same would be for him when he saw his bride.

“What do you think the girls are doing right now?” Justin asked a moment later.

Lance chuckled at the picture that floated through his mind. “Probably completely freaking out! Girls have it hard, they have a ton of stuff to do to get ready. All we have to do is comb our hair, shave and throw on the tux. There’s not much to it.”

That easy, go with the flow feeling felt at the rehearsal the night earlier was no where in sight the next morning at Justin and Keeley’s house where all hell had broken loose.

Keeley was racing frantically through the house trying to find her nylons. Monica was running after Keeley trying to get the girl to just sit down and breath.

Ashleigh, who had stayed at Lance’s the night before, had forgotten to set her alarm so she showed up two hours later than expected.

Amy had managed to some how leave all of her toiletries at home so she was running around after them trying to find out where she could get some shampoo.

“It’s 10:00 am guys!” Keeley yelled as she raced through the kitchen and up the stairs. “We’re supposed to be at the church dressed and ready to go in an hour!”

The doorbell rang and she raced back down the stairs to answer the door. There stood Jacques and Melody, the hair stylist and makeup artist. Both were armed with carrying cases of supplies.

“Oh thank goodness!” Keeley sighed as she led the two to her room to set up.

While Jacques was working on Keeley the doorbell rang. Keeley gave Monica a panicked look that sent her friend running to answer the door. A moment later Monica showed up arm in arm with Heidi, the last of the bridesmaids. Now that everyone was there and accounted for Keeley tried to relax a bit.

Within a half-hour Keeley, Monica, Ashleigh, Heidi, and Amy’s hair and makeup had been done. Jacques and Melody really were the best of the best. The bride’s maids slipped into their dresses before turning to Keeley to help her into hers.

At five till eleven the group was dressed and ready to go. There was a limo in the driveway, waiting to escort the bridal party to the church.
