Your husband knows about it, but do you? Running cattle on the Western Range is getting harder every year. With drought, low prices, wolves, environmentalists, and bureaucrats it's a wonder ranchers can still make a living. And then there are the aliens. Or so most ranchers think.
In the last 25 years, hundreds of ranchers have found their cattle dead and mutilated. This phenomenon is a reccuring theme in the new West that logic hasn't been able to totally explain. Some of the mutilations involve cattle being found completelly emptied of their blood, but none being found on the surrounding ground. They have been found with all their sex organs cut out and strewn upon the ground, their ears detached, and some of their head hide peeled of so that their teeth and jaw would show. Some of the cuts found were so smooth and straight that no blood dripped from them. And most of the cows had been found perfectlly healthy on their previous vet visits.
These occurences have led people to believe in only extreterrestrial possibilities. There have been all types of explainations, from satanic cults to the long-haired hippie down the road. The phenomenon began getting attention in the 1970's when massive occurences of mutilations were being reported, spreading throughout the Western Hemisphere. Law Enforcements held a large conclave. Governors soon made statements decrying the mutilations. Since then there have been massive occurences of mutilations every five years. I guess we're due, huh? |
