�Here�s to, humm, the band.� Nick said as he raised his glass. They all clanked glasses as they took swallows of their drinks. It was time for Brian, Nick and Howie to get on their way. Brain was headed back home and Nick and Howie were both headed to Florida for business. Kevin�s wife had decided that they all should have a going away party. So she had made a dinner at her house and all of the guys had come over. As they finished dinner they started talking about when they were younger.
When they started on guy talk Luara called it a night and went upstairs. They then moved into the living room and sat on the couch as they watched TV and talked. �So your dating some girl named Shelly? Didn�t you have another girlfriend named Shelly before?� Brian asked Nick as he took a drink from his glass.
�No, well yeah, but we called her Shell, not Shelly.�
�Same thing.� Howie replied. �Speaking of girlfriends how did the date with Denise go?� Kevin asked AJ.
�Denise, who�s Denise? I set him up with Julia.� Brian interrupted.
�Those crazy girls? AJ told me about the freaks you set him up with. So that�s why I set him up with Wendy.� Nick snickered.
�Okay first of all, Brian you didn�t tell me you set me up with a preacher�s daughter. Second of all, Kevin Denise was like an energizer bunny gone bad. She just kept talking and talking and talking. It was horrible. And Nick, I didn�t ask you to set me up with a playboy bunny Barbie. What was up with that girl? She came off all cool in the beginning and then she turned out to be a complete air head. And then she tried to jump me when I got her home.� AJ told them.
�Okay AJ, trying to get the point about Wendy, but I�m not seeing the problem here.� Nick replied back.
�The problem is that I�m not looking for someone who just wants to hop in the sack. I�m looking for someone I can have a good time with. Someone, I can just have fun and hang with. Not someone who just wants a one night stand.�
�Woah, okay, didn�t know there was a difference with you. Never seemed to matter to you before. Thought you could use a good time. You�ve been shut up in that house forever.�
�Well things change, I�m not like that anymore.�
�Okay, who are you and what have you done with the Real Alexander McLean? Because you, are not him?� Nick said rolling his eyes.
�Have to admit, never thought I�d hear those words come from your mouth.� Brain but in.
� Well, people change. Anyway, I hit it off with the girl Howie set me up with. She was really cool.� AJ told them. �Howie set you up with a girl?� Nick chuckled. �Who�s the girl Howie set you up with?� Brain asked snickering a little. �Her name is Sandra, and she was a pretty cool chick. We had fun.� He told them.
�So I guess Howie did good. Denise wasn�t that bad though, was she?� Kevin asked him. �No, she was worse.� AJ laughed.
�So you going out with Sandra again?� Howie asked him.
�Yeah, actually we set a date for her to come over my house on Saturday.�
�Sounds good, I�m glad for you. I hope you guys really hit it off.� Brain told him.
�Just as long as you get over that Serenity girl, I think anyone is great. Hope you have fun.� Nick said patting him on the back.
�Where are you off to?� Kevin asked Nick as he started toward the door. �I�m calling it a night. I have an early flight in the morning, and I�m tired.� He said as he yawned and stretched. �Yeah, I think I�m going to head in too. I�ll see you guys later. Tell Luara thanks for the dinner.� Brian said as he stood. They said their goodbyes and then they parted their separate ways.
