Chapter 1
Day1
�So she left, she�ll be back. You guys argue all the time, it doesn�t mean you don�t love each other though. It�s like you have this love hate thing going on. You guys are the best couple I know. Really, I don�t know any two people that are as right for each other as you guys are. Your perfect for one another. You make me want to go out there and look for a soul mate, myself.� Nick told AJ as they ate pizza.
�Were not soul mates, were just together. At least we were together.� AJ said as he took a swallow of his soda. �Your�s making too much of it. You just had an argument, you guys always have arguments.� Nick responded.
�Which is exactly why she should have left. A relationship can�t be built on arguing and fighting. Making up is good, but arguments don�t help anything. She finally got fed up, which is good for her. One of you had to stop the game of tag.� Brian said as he wiped his hands on a napkin.
�So you really think it�s over for good Rok?� AJ asked. �I think you need to calm down. It�s only been a day. Give her time. Maybe she needs to sort some stuff out on her own.� Kevin said butting in. �So you think she just needs time to think then?� AJ asked looking over at Kevin. �I think you should try to talk to her. I mean you were with her for what? Almost 10 months or something. That�s the longest relationship I�ve ever know you to have. Shoot, obviously you saw something in her, and she saw something in you, to make her stay so long. That�s like a record for you.� Howie said finishing his pizza.
�So I should call her? I was thinking maybe I should give her time. Like a couple of days.� He told them. �Listen, just give her time. If it�s meant to be you�ll find each other. I think you both need time.� Kevin told him. �Yeah, it�s like you guys have been suffocating each other. You need a breather.� Brian told him. �Okay so then I should just wait a couple of days. Then if she doesn�t call I�ll call her and apologize.� AJ said thinking out loud.
�Apologize...dude, what did you say to her again? I mean wasn�t it like really harsh? You should have been started apologizing like yesterday for that.� Nick told him. �What? You don�t think she�ll accept my apology?� He asked. �Yeah, but your going to have to muster up some tears for that.� Brain chuckled. AJ then rubbed his face. He had invited the guys over for pizza and they weren�t helping him with his problems at all. They were just giving him more anxiety then he had before.
�AJ, it�ll be okay. Don�t be so worried. Remember there�s always other fish in the sea.� Howie told him.
�I don�t want any other fish though. She�s the only fish I want. If I could eat one kind of fish forever she would be it.�
�Okay, are we still talking about Serenity? Because fish is nasty...lord, who would want to eat fish for the rest of there life. Yuk!� Nick said as he reach for another piece of pizza. �Uhhh.� AJ sighed as he stretched and rolled his eyes.
�You sound like your really positive about your feelings for her. If you feel that strongly why didn�t you just marry her?� Kevin asked. �Ughh,ukkhhh.� Brian choked on his pizza as he reached for his drink.
�I don�t know. I guess I just didn�t feel like I was ready for the whole marriage thing. I mean it�s a big commitment, I didn�t want to rush things like I did with Jessica. When I marry Serenity I want it to be for all the right reasons.� He said as he turned his drink up again. �It sounds like all the reasons you have, are the right reasons.� Kevin said as he took a swallow of his drink also.
�Hello! Anyone else think that marriage and AJ make a bad mix?� Brain asked as he looked around the table. �If he finds the right girl, I think it�ll be cool. And this time, we defiantly have to have a bachelor party.� Nick said looking over at AJ. They both smiled as they finished their pizza.
Day 3
�Hey this is just me again...AJ. And I know I called you like 5 hours ago but I thought I�d just try you again. But I guess your still busy so when you gut this message just call me back okay. I really, really need to talk to you...really. So give me a ring back k, bye.� He said as he hung up the phone. Three days had passes and AJ figured that was more then enough time for Serenity to think about things. It was killing him to not know what she was doing or where she was. Mostly he just wanted to talk to her and hear her voice. He sat in his room on his bed watching TV, waiting for her call.
Day 5
�So what did you think?� Brain asked. �I thought it was cool, I loved it. I want to see it again.� Nick said excitingly. �Well I thought it was stupid. It was the dumbest movie I�ve ever seen. I can�t believe I payed seven bucks to see that.� Howie said looking at his watch. �It wasn�t that bad, I thought it was okay. But yeah, some stuff in it just didn�t make any sense.� Brian said walking beside them.
�Well I thought it was hilarious, I understood everything perfectly.� Nick told them. �Oh course you would.� Brian said putting emphases on the word you, laughing. Howie and Kevin joined in. �What? What�s so funny? What�s that suppose to mean?� Nick asked looking at them with an irritated look on his face. Kevin then stopped. �Where�s AJ?� He asked as he looked around. They all turned to look in back of them. AJ was walking slowly, looking down at the ground. �Hey AJ come on man, we were about to leave you!� Nick called out to him. As he lagged behind no expression came over his face. He just continued to look at the ground.
�Come on J man, you have to get over this whole Serenity thing.� Nick told him as he put his arm around his neck. �I say we go out and have some fun tonight. I mean, do you think she�s at home pouting and sulking over you? She�s probably living it up, having fun. Getting her groove thing on.� Nick said as he did a hip shake. �Groove thing?� AJ asked looking up at Nick with an eyebrow. �Shake your groove thing, shake your groove thing, yeah, yeah,� Nick sang as he did a shimmy. Everyone started to chuckle, even AJ.
�Okay, I�ll go out, just please don�t ever sing or dance like that in my presence ever again. What are you trying to do, blind us?� AJ said as he laughed a little. �Hey I don�t know what your talking about, I got plenty to shake.� He said as he walked shaking his butt at the same time. �Let me help you with that.� Brian said as he went to kick him in the behind. Nick ran before he could and Brain�s foot hit air.
�Not funny Brain. You�re an old man anyway, you have to be quicker then that.� Nick said as he ran up behind Brian and snatched his hat from his head. �Oh Nick your asking for it, aren�t you?� Brian told him as he gave him the evil eye. �Hey you can�t catch me I�m the ginger bread man!� Nick laughed as he snatched AJ�s cap from his head also. �Nick your so immature. You think you could say something a little more threatening, instead of reciting nursery rhymes.� Howie said turning around to look at him. �Hey, the ginger bread man�s pretty scary. He has the whole gum drop eye thing going on.� Nick said keeping a straight face.
�What?� Kevin said looking back at him. �No wonder you liked that movie, you make no sense just like it.� Kevin said turning back around as they approached the parking lot. �So what do you say AJ, should we teach him not to talk back to his elders?� Brian asked tuning around, walking backwards. �Whenever your ready Rok.� AJ said as he turned around. Nick watched them intensely as they slowed up their pace. They both then darted after him, Brian from the right and AJ from the left. Nick ran fast jumping over things in the parking lot.
�Oh lord. I feel like were starting all over again and were stuck babysitting them again.� Howie said as he watched them run. �Don�t take me back to those days. Let�s just hope this time Nick doesn�t get hurt like always.� Kevin said rolling his eyes. Howie laughed as they reached the car. �That use to be so funny. Whenever they would play a game, he was the one that would always get hurt.� Howie said as he leaned on the car. They both laughed as they watched Brain, and AJ sprint around the parking lot trying to catch Nick.
He had become a lot faster since the last time they tried to catch him. After the chasing game was over they all went out to a club, which got AJ�s mind off of Serenity if only for a little bit. But when he went back home he was greeted once again by a empty house.
