Chapter 12
Serenity stood in shock, what had just happened? Her eyes blinked a couple of times as she tried to go over the moment in her mind.
�Get your purse, were leaving now!� Randy snapped as he started towards the door. She quickly gathered her purse and followed him out the door.
On the ride home Randy was very quiet. He didn�t say a word, which scared Serenity a little. She had expected him to be yelling and screaming his head off right about then. But he said nothing at all. He sped down the highway to their home. When they got home Serenity decided to speak up.
�Randy...I�m sorry. I�m so sorry about tonight. I didn�t mean to waist the wine. Please don�t do this, talk to me. I can�t stand you being so quiet.�
�You...You might have just coast me the biggest deal in my life!� He yelled as he opened the front door to the house and stepped in. �No, no, it�s okay. He said he�d meet with you later. You and him can meet alone, and then you can get over this whole mess and he�ll see that he needs this merger.� She said as she shut the door. �You don�t get it, do you? The deal is over, he�ll never set another meeting with me. You�ve ruined it!� He yelled at her.
�Don�t say that, don�t think that way. He�ll come around.� She protested. �No, he won�t Serenity...and it�s all your fault.�
�It was an accident....� She said as she fell back. Her bottom hit the ground as she stumble off her feet. She was cut off in mid sentence as Randy�s hand had come in contact with her face. He had just slapped her.
