The jewish community of Tann

The jewish community of Tann started with 3 'Schutzjuden' or protected jews. Between 1740 and 1750 they setteled in Tann. Menko Isaak was from Barchfeld. His oldest son, Isaak, called himself Freudenthal and the second son Benjamin took Goldschmidt as his family name.

Nesanel ben Jizchok came from Netra, he had seven sons. The family names of 5 of them are known: Rabenstein, Nelkenstock, Sichel, Heilbronn and the youngest Juengster.

Schlomo ben Jehude had 2 sons, Mosche Jitzchok took the family name Moses and Juhude called himself Rosenstock.
