What Makes A Dad God took the strength  of a mountain, The majesty of a tree, The warmth of a summer sun, The calm of a quiet sea, The generous soul of nature, The comforting arm of night, The wisdom of the ages, The power of the eagle's flight, The joy of a morning in spring, The faith of a mustard seed, The patience of eternity, The depth of a family need, Then God combined these qualities, When there was nothing  more to add, He knew His masterpiece  was complete, And so, He called it ... Many times we've missed you,
A million times we've cried.
If love could have saved you,
You never would have died.
 
It breaks our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone.
For a part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
 
We did not see you suffer,
There was no cure to be.
He closed his arms around you,
 And whispered come to me.

For all that you went through,
He saw you needed rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
For He only picks the best!

A Limb Fallen

A limb has fallen from the family tree.
I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me.
Remember the best times, the laughter the song.
The good life I lived while I was strong.
Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you.
Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through.
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.
Remembering all, how I truly was blessed.
Continue traditions, no matter how small.
Go on with your life, don't just stare at the wall.
I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin.
Until the day comes we're together again."
