No More Tears
By: Monica Strihavka
Here's a poem that's kind of a spin off of "He Loves Me Not" It has nothing to do with me or with anyone I know. So enjoy ;)
I cried when you threatened to leave Desperately, I dropped to both knees Pleaded and begged for your forgiveness You smiled, knowing you've defeated me I cried when you wanted to hit me I promised to be a better wife To never betray you, to always obey you And give you my life I cried when you left me With two children under my arms I scolded myself for having angered you For giving you a reason to have gone But as I stand here before your lifeless corpse Not a tear leaves my eye I showed not a streak of emotion For I had no more tears to cry
