LOMONOSOV
FIGURINES

Founded in 1744 by Peter the Great's daughter Empress Elizabeth, Lomonosov Porcelain is one of the oldest porceline manufactories in Europe. During the early 1750s you can find the first reports about the production of "porcelain dolls" - figures of people and animals. The first of them was bear (1745).From its first porceline bear, hand-made by the inventor of Russian porcelaine, Dmitry Vinogradov, Lomonosov has continued the tradition of creating life through porceline. This quality, demanded by by the Imperial Romanov Family, can still be found two and half centures later, when more then 300 different types of figurines are made at the factory for people throughout the world to enjoy. And every one of them is hand-made and hand-painted. It is this special attention to detail of Lomonosov artists which infusies each figurine with life, soul, individuality.
