KISS - Dec. 6 1998 - Gund arena - My 1st concert , and 40 some concerts later I still remember it . At this time KISS is the only band I listened to.So it was even more exciting for me. "ALRIGHT CLEVELAND , YOU WANTED THE BEST AND YOU GOT THE BEST , THE HOTTEST BAND IN THE WORLD.....KISS!!!!!!!!!" Then the curtain dropped and they burst into psycho circus. The first thing i saw was gene just looming around the stage. It was too much to take in. The most memorable part was when they played "do you love me" and let the audience sing the whole first verse. It was amazing. This show set the standards for every concert after it , and it has yet to be topped. Noone puts on a show like KISS. MOTLEY CRUE / SCORPIONS - July 11 1999 - My 2nd show and my first time at polaris amphitheater , My favorite venue. Opening the show was a band called flash bastard , they never released a cd but i wish they did , they were like a high energy rock band , like buckcherry. Next up was the scorpions They ripped , but didn't play "wind of change" I love just watching rudolph schenker just rock back and forth with that big crazy grin on his face. Scorpions did good , but could the crue top them...YES. This was b4 vince got fat. No real stage set up , just the band. The original intro to "shout at the devil" comes over the speakers and then vince just wails away , strobes hit and I didn't know what was going on. Highlight of this was the lesbian sex show during "same ol' situation" That was awesome , lesbian sex rules. The other higlight was the closer of "anarchy in the u.k" I went nuts , and in the lawn , you definately can. KISS - may 13th - Polaris - |
