| Skystone The sky stone is used to open portals on Mongania and off-world. Nobody know how it works exactly except, entering a sequence of numbers will open a portal. If the numbers are a sequence of the top 6 the portal leads to other worlds. If the sequence is only 4 numbers the portal will lead elsewhere on Mongania. One a soldier reaches middle rank they are entrusted with a personal stone. Description: The stone is off white in color and large as the palm of your hand. It has two sets of Roman numerals engraved on it. The number sets go from 1-6 and 1-4. When you touch the numbers they light up. Depending on the sequence of numbers you enter, the portal will take you different places on the planet. The stone only works in a location a portal can open. Most of the known portals reside in cities.There are possibly other locations where portals can open, but its too dangerous to find out. The unknown location you enter could open under the ocean or into solid rock.People have been lost this way, and there little need for them to take these kinds of risks today. The 6 number sequence only works in Venecian Council Chambers.If you enter that sequence in any other location nothing will happen except the skystone will shock whoever is holding it. |

| SkyPortal A skyportal is usually about 12 feet in height and width. If you look at it all you see are bright rays of white and yellow light. The name of the portal is deceptive because they most often open at ground level and not in the air. When a person walks into a portal it is like any other step you take. In less than a second you are through the portal and on your way.The portals do not close until the stone that activates them passes through or the dtone is deactivated by a hand passing over it.There is a theory that the closer a number sequence is to being the same the closer two portals are. Such as you can tell Earth and Mongania are far apart because their code sequences are completely different. |
