| Lilka sat on Derica next to where the portal would open. In the distance she could see two people headed this way. The morning light was too dim to see who they were. Tossing the notion to go out and meet them, Lilka sat there looking completely calm. The only outward sign she gave of her nervousness the the death-grip on the skystone in her left hand. It felt weird not to have it around her neck. Before this the stone hadn't been used in nearly 5 monthes. Hopefully the mission would go well and that would give Lilka more confidence in herself. Adalia flew up "Nervous?" She asked grinning. The blue damotri pulled its head out of her coat, grinned, winked and disappeared. "Well I think sitting here makes me really nervous." Grinning herself Lilka held up her stone. "I would think so considering I can't put this down." At that she went back to watching for the other Dragonriders to arrive. "Good day , ready for bitter cold. Bad thing is Brice can't make it." Said Tim walking quietly up to Lilka. "Its terrible about your Dragon. I helped raise Brice myself. Don't worry too much I'll have one of the Dragonriders watch him personally. While traveling we'll have to divide the bulk of your supplies among the other dragons. You can't be expected to carry everything yourself. Besides some of the time we will be traveling by air. Hopefully the other people will amke an appearance before too long. If they don't arrive soon, I'll be forced to go without them." Lilka said before she turned back to watching the sky for Adori and Trizdan. "I hope the rest arrive. I'd hate to have them left behind." Tim said as he checked his supplies. " I don't have that much to carry. Except my equipment. I didn't bring much food because I don't eat much." Adori rode up on Feaben. " Your not forgetting me behind," she grinned at Tim. She got off her dragon as it landed. "I sure hope Trizdan gets here soon, but he was never one to be on time." At last Trizdan arrived on his dragon. Since everyone was here noone would be left behind. Lilka said, " Everyone put on your jackets. I know its boiling hot out here but you'll be glad for the warmth in just a minute. " After she had her jacket on, Lilka had Derica move to the side. Entering the code for the Artic Planet on her skystone, Lilka watched the portal form. After everyone had lined up and begun moving through the portal, Lilka took rear position and the portal closed behind her. The mission had officially begun. Adori entered the portal and suddenly everything around her began to swirl. She couldn't see a thing. The ones to enter before her, Tim and Adalia were no where to be seen. "Adalia, Tim!! Where are you?!?" she screamed. Suddenly she fell though the snow and landed face first in the snow bank. "Boy, that's cold!" She got up and shook herself off just in time to see her dragon and then Lilka come through the portal. Looking around the rest of the team were completely out of sight. |
