The dogs we own, breed, place and love, are dogs who maintain balance in temperament, structure, and adaptability. These dogs, placed in family companion homes, are not a liability, they are an asset..
When required, their bites are firm, hard, and accurate, but it is not their first inclination. Dogs we breed and place maintain the Utility and Intelligence as intended when the breed was created.
We breed American Working Lines. Though not all titled, we have found that by using primarily American stock (the dogs have been in the US for at least 2 generations) we are better able to physically travel or to call the breeders, speak with owners of "extended family" of the dogs, and we, or the owners of one of our pups, can get a very accurate, true assessment of the line on any given day.
Our foundation male, Kato, is now retired. Kato's sons, daughters, grandsons, and granddaughters, and the females we bred Kato with, are out of lines which compliment him and maintain the workability. Our pups drive ranges from moderate to high, we rarely have "couch potato's." We can provide you with recommendations to other breeders if we do not have the type of German Shepherd you are seeking.
Puppies are raised in our home environment, experiencing the typical sights and sounds of everyday life, learning from their canine pack, ready for placement in companion homes between 8-12 weeks. Working pups are placed beginning at 7 weeks.
