Toddler Shorts
This
pattern is for a toddler with body measurements as follows:
34" Height
21" Chest
20-1/2" Waist
21-1/2" Hips
YOU
WILL NEED
3/4" elastic cut to the child's
waist
3/4 yard of cotton fabric
Directions
Cut four pieces using the first image at the top of the page as the guide.
For the waist band: Cut the 3/4" elastic to the size of the child's waist.
Sew the center front, center back, side seams and inside leg seams. Be sure that the right sides are together when sewing.
Fold the top edge of the pants 1" to the wrong side.
Fold under the raw edges and sew around the waist. Leave at least a 1" hole to pull the elastic through. See image below.
Insert the elastic through the opening and sew the ends together. Close the opening made for the elastic.
Finish the bottom of the shorts and hem.
